This weeks guest mix comes from Tonarunur and is here to promote his next release which is a gorgeous slice of electronic disco hosted by San Fran tastemaker label, Dream Chimney, who present Tonarunur and his ‘Geimotheque EP’.

Tonarunur has been contributing to multiple Dream Chimney compilations with his unique brand of electronic boogie space disco. Tonarunur hails from the capital of Iceland, Reykjavik. His music is diverse, ranging from Sunday-friendly pieces to dance-floor-oriented grooves and has been released on Eskimo Recordings and Whiskey Disco.

The ‘Geimotheque EP’ is a testament to Tonarunur's ability to blend classic disco influences with modern production techniques. Kicking off with the slow-burn of ‘Give Me Your Word’, followed by the more dancefloor-ready energy of the  ‘Whose Future?’. Picking up the pace with the deep, bass-heavy ‘Will I See You Again?’, culminating in the epic, eleven-minute masterful space disco symphony ‘Lifting Off.’ Sparkling, warm, and festive, ‘Geimotheque’ is a treat indeed.

Reykjavik-born and bred producer, Tonarunur is no stranger to Dream Chimney, as he’s appeared on a number of compilations on the label going back to 2019. As we enter 2025, Tonarunur is poised for his debut release.

A four-track EP titled Geimotheque is set to come out on January 24th on @the-dream-chimney, a San Francisco-based record label and one of the best music websites out there. Music is My Sanctuary has the pleasure to premiere the EP’s closer – “Lifting Off”, an aptly-titled, 11-minute long, spacey, fusion disco epic.
