UK talent Josh Butler has made a rapid ascension since he burst onto the scene in 2013, winning coveted awards from Beatport and DJ Mag. He now brings his production prowess to Hot Creations, delivering a club ready two-parter for his debut EP on the label.

Title track Anonymous is made for low ceiling, sweaty basements with its deep, growling bass and select vocal cuts. Doesn’t Work swiftly follows suit, delivering another dose of rolling, after-hours goodness. A mainstay in the industry, having released on labels such as Cuttin Headz, Relief and Desolat, Andrea Oliva steps up for the remix of Anonymous with an acidic bassline and lively breakdown that diffuses into a carnival of synths.

Since emerging on the scene back in 2013 with his debut Got A Feeling on MTA Records, Josh Butler has firmly established himself as a musical force to be reckoned with. Releases followed on coveted labels such as Kaoz Theory, Rejected and Cajual. In 2016, Butler also launched his own highly regarded imprint, Origins.

Fast rising Manchester talent Joseph Edmund presents the scintillating Dreams to Reality, his debut release on Hot Creations following his well-received The Pressure EP on sister label Hottrax.

Norrr kicks off with a chunky, addictive house beat, as playful vocals are injected before the introduction of a whirring bassline. The foot is then taken off the gas as the track breathes, before being hurled back into a peak time cut. On Fuego, zippy electronics combine with sirens, whistles and vocal loops, in a piece that is both charming and devious when these elements become tightly fused.

Joseph Edmund is an underground house and techno DJ/Producer from the musical city of Manchester. After starting to DJ at the age of 19, he began playing at Manchester’s best venues including Gorilla and Sankeys. Quickly turning his hand to production, he became immersed in the studio, spending countless hours learning his craft and developing his sound. His early releases have already been supported by Steve Lawler, Solardo, Patrick Topping, Mark Jenkyns, Nathan Borato, Jey Kurmis and Latmun. The pinnacle came when his music reached the attention of Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones, who swiftly signed a three track EP to his Hottrax label. Joseph has also received regular support on BBC Radio 1 from Monki and Danny Howard.

Solid Grooves reveal their 2020 'Summer Sampler' as co-founders Michael Bibi and PAWSA are joined by a fresh selection of the collective's core residents this August.

An imprint established just five years ago, yet one that stands today as one of the scene's most in-demand labels, Michael Bibi and PAWSA's Solid Grooves Records continues to go from strength to strength with their unmistakable sound showcased via their core global family of artists and residents. Following on from the label's biggest 12 months to date, with five Beatport #1's since 2019's V/A offering, mid-August now welcomes the arrival of 2020's sampler instalment as both label co-founders return to deliver highly anticipated unreleased productions, alongside fresh material from label favourite Dennis Cruz, Spanish duo Eddy M and Bassel Darwish, Barcelona's Reelow, UK resident Ramin Rezaie, and the latest addition to the SG family, Italian DJ and producer Blackchild (ITA).

Bassel Darwish's rolling cut 'Origin' opens the package in style, whilst Blackchild (ITA)'s 'Por La Calle' keeps the focus on organic percussion whilst upping the energy levels and introducing resonant sax riffs throughout. Next, MÜSE bosses Dennis Cruz and Eddy M step up with Cruz delivering a typically slick effort via the impressive 'El Puma', whilst Eddy M's 'Goodie Bag' combines trademark grooves, bumping bass licks and infectious vocal samples. The second half signals the introduction of both label co-founders, with Bibi finally releasing the highly anticipated and hypnotic sonics of 'Dance To The Devil', whilst 'Full Tilt' welcomes a high-octane journey through slinking drum grooves and menacing basslines courtesy of PAWSA. To close, Ramin Rezaie's 'Bam' pairs things back and balances drum grooves loaded with swing alongside sweeping melodies, before the warping 'Voices In My Damn Head' sees Reelow introduce soaring electronic leads and off kilter drums arrangement to shape up proceedings.

Following on from a wealth of material dropping throughout 2020, DJ and producer Ben Murphy looks set for another busy year when it comes to his release and remix output. Having featured across a number of events for the collective in the past, early-March welcomes a first appearance on Solid Grooves' sister imprint Solid Grooves Raw as he delivers his latest single, 'Make You Feel'.  First surfacing in Michael Bibi's Circoloco Radio mix late last year, 'Make You Feel' welcomes a groove-driven cut armed with slinking metallic percussion, punchy bass licks and infectious vocal snippets throughout - revealing a strong first outing on Solid Grooves Raw from the rising UK talent.
