I recently spent the day with MA while they stopped in NYC to play a set at Webster Hall during the east coast leg of their tour. We shot some photos at the beautiful Carnegie Club on West 56th St., one of the few remaining cigar lounges in the city. Exotic wood textures and period patterns adorn the inside of this landmark location, which is situated directly across the street from New York's very own Carnegie Hall. The unforced, cohesive conversation between this gathering of the minds gave us the perfect platform to capture an honest moment in time.

Sometimes, your favorite artist or producer will fade into some dark rap abyss without ever getting a glimpse of the lime light. Not the case for Sortahuman. This rap trio (currently a duo) from Huntsville, Alabama, is for life, sent here from a Lost Planet to defy all odds and expectations. Actively putting on for the underground since the early 2000s, Supa & Joeybagadonuts are OGs in this La Costra Nostra. Their presence has been directly connected to some of the biggest artist in the scene, as well as some of those amazing artists you will never hear. Notorious for creating experimental music and not giving one fuck about the fortune and fame, these two are destine to be part of the game even after our sons and daughters start spitting bars. They are my hometown heroes and it was an honor to sit down and have a chat with them. We present to you Clearing the Air w/ Sortahuman. Enjoy!

Although the hip–hop community wasn’t clamoring for a hip-hop take on James Joyce’s “Letter To A Young Poet” Sole delivers it with his trademark of wit & vitriol.
