Across the EP, the duo lay out their no-holds-barred, party-starting music with four pounding productions. Title track ‘All My Friends’ brings trippy vocals, pumping basslines and speaker rattling kicks together for a peak time stomper, while ‘Runnin’ Check’ keeps the energy levels high, bringing more vocal chops over skippy drums and grinding synths. 
‘Lets Get It’ brings punchy low end and acid lines together over rocking percussion for a massive track, while closing number ‘EMS’ keeps those hands in the air with yet another energetic dose of dancefloor euphoria.

The groove-laden three-track release represents a clear departure from the darker techno
sound of TRICK’s maiden release ‘Watch What Ya Doing’ - further demonstrating Topping’s
versatility as a producer. Kicking off proceedings, the EP’s title track is underpinned by an
infectious vocal sample and the funkiest of beats. While over on the B-side, ‘Let Wa Gan’ is a
darker, moodier number and ‘Galaxy’, featuring the scintillating vocals of Liset Alea, is a
celestial melodic stomper. The collaboration with Liset came about after Topping heard her
vocals on Alex Kid’s ‘Don’t Hide It’. The track quickly became a staple in his sets and he
made the decision to reach out to the Cuban-born singer shortly after.

Across the ‘Street Rave EP’ McVicar marries Chicago inflected raw house sounds with an unmistakable UK rave slant throughout. From the buoyant combination of undulating bass and a rich palette of synths, stabs and vocal drops, the title track is just under six minutes of earworming hooks. ‘Dorian’ is a tougher, more clipped affair with a stomping, acid-inflected groove doing the work while closing track sees McVicar team up with fellow Scot Roose for a no-holds-barred workout which fuse 4:4 UK hardcore to a rock-solid house beat.

A pumping club weapon, the  title track opens proceedings, pairing Patois MC samples with raw, Chicago-influenced house. On the flip side, ‘Easy For Us’ maintains the intensity of ‘Rocket Fuel’, placing an infectious, seemingly never ending four-to-the-floor beat and catchy robotic vocals at its heart. It marks Topping’s first release since his vocal edit of ‘The 302’ by DJ Deeon and Gettoblaster, which was released as part of TRICK 006.

Liverpool has always been known for its rich musical heritage but in recent years it’s house music that’s been ringing through the streets of this northern city. With house music royalty such as Camelphat & Yousef flying the flag for so long, all eyes now fall on SOSA as Liverpool’s new rising star.
 
Recognised for his hypnotic grooves, SOSA has been busy honing his skills in the studio, perfecting his signature minimal-tech productions. His tracks have picked up support from key tastemakers such as The Martinez Brothers, Michael Bibi, PAWSA and Jamie Jones, with releases on Cuttin Headz, Hottrax, Solid Grooves RAW, Moxy Music, Repopulate Mars, Ultra & Ministry of Sound to name a few.
 
In 2019 SOSA unleashed ‘DFCW’, his huge debut record on Solardo’s Sola label, which gained the support of leading names such as Camelphat, Skream, Eli Brown, Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything, Green Velvet and more. SOSA then went on to remix Solardo & Eli Brown’s hit record ‘XTC’ with high praise coming from Radio 1’s Danny Howard. The Liverpudlian went on to earn further support from Radio 1, this time from Pete Tong who invited SOSA to undertake the first Future Stars Mix of 2020. Showing no signs of slowing down SOSA launched his own imprint COCO in an effort to spearhead the minimal-tech scene, kicking things off with his highly anticipated release ‘The Sax’. SOSA capped off a successful 2020 with ‘Your Love’, his follow up release on Ministry of Sound which topped the Beatport Garage chart after a mere 24hrs, also earning the support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong & Danny Howard at Radio 1. But in 2021 SOSA started the year achieving his dream with a release for The Martinez Brother’s imprint Cuttin Headz with his ‘Classy EP’. To this day, SOSA’s release remains one of the best selling EP’s on the label. Following this, another career milestone was achieved as SOSA signed to Jamie Jones’ legendary Hottrax label with ‘The Wave’. But the standout release of the year came on SOSA’s COCO label in the form of ‘It’s Time To Move’ which took the world by storm, gaining support from Michael BIBI, Richy Ahmed & Solardo to name a few.
 
Outside of the studio SOSA maintains a stacked tour diary with a plethora of performances at Motion Bristol, Blackstone Street Warehouse, Printworks, Vernipt and other key events across the UK & beyond! But one of SOSA’s most defining achievements has been the creation of COCO’s live event series. The first COCO show was held in SOSA’s hometown Liverpool and sold out in a staggering 45 minutes. Since then the brand has hosted a show in London, and with many more exciting shows lined up, COCO is sure to be a key part of SOSA’s plan for the future as he continues to stand out, not just as a DJ & producer, but as a tastemaker as well.
