In a world with vast seas of artistic mediocrity, in which most music that adheres to a standard but does not transcend it, a standard most people become acclimatised to since it serves its purpose and gets those endorphins flowing, sometimes you stumble across something new and are reminded for a small minority of artists that other people's “good enough” means nothing to them. These artists are not content with their art until they have painstakingly poured the complete contents of their soul into it. Manuel Meyer has a beautiful soul.

Terje Saether is a producer from the cold, dark north raised in the wilds of Norway with a love for all sounds electronic. After growing up with the music of the Pet Shop Boys, the KLF and Leftfield, amongst others, he has spent a decade making deep, atmospheric house and techno built on techy grooves and peppered with minimal bleeps and beeps. He has released music on the likes of Nick Warren's Renaissance Masters Series, Darkroom Dubs and many more.

To complete the package we have Scottish pair Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie AKA Silicone Soul, long-time masters of immersive and hypnotic house on their own Darkroom Dub and generally an influential pair who have always been a key part of the conversation. Their remix of ‘Ende’ is a silky deep house track with real bite in the kicks. Cosmic vocal mutterings, distant synth motifs and ambient pads all making it a soothing place to get lost in the groove.

Rashid Ajami takes care of Get Physical’s next stunning house offering, with new single ‘Dark City’ featuring remixes from long time maestro Atjazz. 

Ajami is a busy man with credits on key labels like Noir Music, Anjunadeep and Ministry of Sound. He is also the founder of The Happiness Technique, which encourages people to process painful emotions in transformative ways. He certainly provides plenty of solace with his music, and this new single is a perfect example of that. 

The enticingly moody ‘Dark City’ has aching male vocals drifting over a mournful house groove. There is warmth in the keys, and plenty of space in the arrangement in which to get lost. It is a terrifically tender track that brings real class to house music. 

Remixing is the ever popular Atjazz, who has been synonymous with lush jazz house, lounge styles and labels like Mantis and Atjazz Record Company for decades. He brings all his studio wizardry to a remix that bubbles with electronic soul and wavy grooves. His lithe synths add extra colour and make things more upbeat, while an Astro Dub is even more elastic and groovy for intimate late night dancing.
