CLAPTONE UNVEILS NEW SINGLE ‘DEAR LIFE’
 
The man with the golden scooped beak rises again with ‘Dear Life’ the first single from his debut album, coming later this year.

Dear Life is the next chapter for Claptone taken from his first full length which is set to drop in Autumn 2015. The mysterious enigma with the golden mask has gone from strength to strength of late, following an acclaimed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, a Beatport chart-topping smash remix for Gregory Porter and an incredible live show at the Miami Ultra Music Festival.
 
The single however breaks new ground for Claptone as he delves deeper into songwriting. This time he is reunited with French singer Jaw (1/3 of production trio dOP) with whom he worked on ’No Eyes’ which went on to became a big record back in 2013 on Exploited. In new offering ‘Dear Life’ they've created a spellbinding track which sounds as good on your stereo at home as it does on the dancefloor.

The masked figure recently shared teaser 'The Music Got Me', the first glimpse of the album and a track which went on to reach the top 5 on Beatport’s deep house chart, as did B-side Forest of Love. For the club heads, Claptone and Jaw deliver a second cut ‘Secret Lover’, a track which is packed with raw funk for your dance floors and a highlight in his recent Essential Mix.

The second installment from the ‘Charmer Remixed’ series features reworks from Format:B, Raumakustik and Superlover; more dancefloor gold offered up by the man with the golden mask. 

‘Charmer Remixed’ is the final act of Claptone’s debut album campaign; a collection of remixes which close the curtain on the ‘Charmer’ chapter but leave us all wanting more and anticipating what he has planned for us next.
 
The second EP in the series features three peak-time cuts from a trio of German heavyweights.
 
Format:B are on an incredible roll and have fast become one of the hottest things in the tech house scene right now and seriously deliver with a typically heads-down club juggernaut. Meanwhile, releases on Hot Creations, Toolroom, Suara for Berlin-based Raumakustik have established them as much touted newcomers to the scene whilst Superlover complete the package with a more restrained, piano led house take on ‘Puppet Theatre’.

It follows hot on the heels of Part 1 and it’s  reworks from Justin Martin and Timo Maas, both of which have been causing a commotion on dancefloors acorss the globe, picking up the support of Jamie Jones, Tensnake and Nic Fancuilli and rapidly scaling the Beatport chart.

Part 2 is set for release on 13/2/17.

Xinobi's new album is pretty much an album rooted in the NOW. Its emo electronic music you can dance to. You can say Atmospheric House with Spoken Word, dreamy electronic with a Pop feel, ethereal Techno, dark chill Leftfield fulfilled with uncommon lyrics on the dance music world. 
“On The Quiet” is a dance floor-focused story about the transition of many electronic musicians from punk rock and skateboarding into house music and about how dance-music can be a field for social conscious awareness. 
It’s common knowledge that the second album from an artist is his most difficult task. “On The Quiet” proves to be an exception to this idea. After countless successful singles and remixes Xinobi found his own style on his debut album “1975”, released in 2014, and improved that style on this set of songs that now stands a new landmark on his career.
“On The Quiet” is a reflex of the path that many contemporary electronic musicians have crossed, starting on punk and developing into diversity while keeping some of the ethics of punk school. One could say this an D.I.Y. record. Xinobi played and self-produced the whole album and even released on Discotexas (a label he co-owns with Moullinex). Friends were invited to sing on some tracks and there’s Ian MacKaye’s (the man behind such important bands as Minor Threat, Fugazi or the Dischord label) voice about skateboarding manners and urban alternative interpretations. The record also features an artwork by Braulio Amado with extensive biographical writings, all the lyrics, interviews with Igor Cavalera (former member of Sepultura and Mixhell) and David Andersson of Punks Jump Up beautifully crafted with fanzine-styled aesthetics.

Softwar are 2 body builders from Sydney - Myles Du Chateau & Jeremy Lloyd - and they HAVE FINALLY finished their EP on Future Classic called 'This Time Around'.

As much as we tease Softwar at HOW SLOW THEY ARE they have some pretty serious chops - their debut EP was signed to DJ Kaos' label Jolly Jams, their track ‘Colour Flight’ was hand picked by Kitsune for their Tokyo Mix CD, their residence at Slow Blow at Goodgod, Sydney has got millions of hot fashion girls into deep house AND they've remixed Mario & Vidis and Mitzi – meaning this will be their third appearance on Future Classic vinyl.

When Softwar started sending us demos they often came labeled with odd names like 'keyboard', 'brown noise' or 'good song' - so we had to ask them "What happened to brown noise.mp3 and realgooddemo.wav?"

"We tried to give the songs half decent, suitable names. 'This Time Around' was kinda easy as the lyrics are pretty self explanatory.. 'you got me feeling real good this time around', ‘August’ was made in... Surprise... August! and then ‘Taken Liberty’ was made with honestly no real meaning in mind at all - maybe a reference to some time we spent in New York last year."

'This Time Around' resonates filtery deep funk, soul and house and we're glad it’s finally here and not called brown noise.
