Nacido en Imperia en 1983 se enamora de la música desde muy joven a través del Reggae, Funk y World Music. En 2004 se convierte en DJ residente de varios clubes locales. Influenciado por algunos compañeros selectores, cambia de rumbo hacia una forma más ecléctica y alternativa de investigar sus sonidos y comienza a desarrollar una forma más amplia de pinchar. Este nuevo curso lo empuja a comenzar a producir música electrónica y a combinar sus habilidades con algunos músicos locales. Estas constantes colaboraciones y fusiones musicales le ayudan a desprenderse de su propio sonido que gravita en torno a las producciones de estudio y la música en directo. En 2015, su recién nacida colaboración con We Are For Beat, un evento de promoción de la asociación cultural, lo lleva a lanzar Aureon con Alessio Glisenti y Valerio Zuffanti, los otros dos fundadores del sello.
Su EP llamado 'Sacred Marriage' es un viaje de tres pistas a su mundo de sonidos profundos, ayudado por dos remixes de Martin Brodin y Tribu Oro. En Sacred Marriage, Michele muestra toda su habilidad como investigador del sonido y logra darle profundidad y ritmo a su tema, que es también el título del disco. Brodin da una interpretación más suave / ácida y Tribu Oro, manteniéndose fiel a su nombre, crea una versión tribal llena de detalles percusivos y rítmicos.

For his next superb single, Swedish craftsman Sailor & I links with German artist Ruede Hagelstein on The Life That Kills You, which arrives on May 28th via METAPHYSICAL. 

This new single follows the release of Sailor & I's fantastic album Diving For Lost Treasure, which is jam-packed with special songwriting and catchy hooks. The singer, producer and instrumentalist is known for crafting exactly that and has worked and performed alongside some of the industry’s finest names including Paul Woolford, DJ Tennis and M83, and has released an album and singles on Skint, Life and Death and Black Butter. This latest collaboration is with Berlin's Ruede Hagelstein, a techno legend, Watergate resident and regular on labels like Watergate Records, Upon You, and Souvenir. 

The stunning The Life That Kills You is an emotional indie-dance affair with a grand architecture. The synths stretch up to the heavens, the tender pianos bring real emotion and twinkling keys are like distant stars. A vulnerable, delicate vocal rings out into the expansive space left behind and as the track ebbs and flows it takes you on a real journey. 

This is another masterclass from Sailor & I and Ruede Hagelstein.
