You wouldn’t find pearls on the beach. If you really want a pearl you will have to dive for it. For over five years we’ve been browsing through boundless seas and branched forests to find powerful gems leaving a sharp impression while taking us on a journey. They infatuate, fascinate and delight the listeners falling in love with the works of art. What makes the quest most fun: the more unknown the artists, the more truthful the productions. After all, it is music that makes us do things we usually wouldn’t dare. It is a whirl we really like to jump into like a big and swinging web of silk and sorrow.

IT WAS lATE AFTERNOON and the small low car came down from the black road across the hills and headlands with the dark blue ocean always on the right onto 'a deserted boulevard that bordered a flat beach of two miles-of yellow sand at Casamblanca. Well ahead on the ocean side was the bulk of a big hotel and a·casino and on the left there were newly planted trees and villas whitewashed and brown timbered set in their own trees and plantings. The two young people in the car rode down the boulevard slowly looking out at the magnificent oeach and at the desert mountains of Morocco that showed blue in this light as the car passed die casino and the big hotel and went on toward the end of the boulevard. The beautiful new EP by Nhii was playing and it sounded like paradise. Xaman, Biralo and Señora have contributed amazing remixes too.  Ahead was the mouth of the river that flowed into the ocean. The tide was out and across the bright sand they saw the ancient Moroccan town and the green hills across the bay and, at the far point, the lighthouse. They stopped the car. "It's a lovely place," the girl said. "There's a cafe with tables under the trees," the young man said. "Old trees.".

At the very hub of this wheel which is falling apart, is Beauty. And it will keep on rolling until everything that has gone to make up the wheel has disintegrated. It has already rolled over a goodly portion of the globe, over Persia and India and China, and like a magnet he has attached to itself microscopic particles from Kurd, Baluchistan, Timbuktu, Somaliland, Angkor, Tierra del Fuego. They say catchiness is recipe-based and dance music industry producers make a living trying to find and apply the perfect balance and chemistry between particular elements, however once in a blue moon some guy comes out of nowhere and touches on a bunch of soft spots with a witty seamlessness - what one might call a prodigy. 

ViLLΛGE has been in charge of our visual side, the go-to guy for anything from video trailers to VJing during our club nights. He couldn't avoid making some music of his own and it just so happens that it's not only up to par with everything that Origami Sound stands for but also a testament of his seemingly infinite potential and fantastic sense of quality and appeal.
