+++ KULTURERBE +++

Die ALTE KOMMODE (aka ATONOM & PÈRE CUSHION) und BEEFHARP haben im November 2023 ein Ausflügli nach Richterswil gemacht, um im Rahmen der als UNESCO Kulturerbe registrierten "Räbenchilbi"  in einem traditionsbehafteten Chäller ein Ständchen zu spielen. 

Ganz nach dem Motto  "Eifach Bangers ballere und nacher dummi Sprüch mache" wurde in klassischer b2b2b Manier spontan gepickt, gemixt, gespielt, genossen und gehörig Dampf gemacht.

Musikalischer Rundlauf mit USB Sticks. Oder so in der Art.

+++ RÄBELIECHTLI +++

Und da alle drei mit ihren individuellen DJ Projekten des öfteren auch mal etwas langsamer unterwegs sind, sei erwähnt: Wo "Alte Kommode" drauf steht, ist ganz klar "Brockenhouse" drin. 

Und auch beefharp hat gezeigt, dass da auf seinem Datenträger sehr wohl auch ein paar Stücke schlummern, die gerne ein wenig zügiger gespielt werden können. 

Entstanden ist ein Set, welches ziemlich gut auf den Punkt bringt, was denn Brockenhouse eigentlich ist und nun, nach einer stimmungsvollen Nacht, auch in den Alltag Einzug halten darf.

+++ BROCKENHOUSE +++

Brockenhouse bewegt sich mit rund 124-127pbm irgendwo zwischen Tech-House, Progressive und Techno. Irgendwo zwischen monotonem Beat, epischen Fanfaren, groovigen Basslines, kitschigen Synths und verspicktem Geknartze.
Von alten Klassikern über sorgfälltig ausgessuchte Pop Edits bis zu noch nie gehörten Geheimtipps - es wird sorgfältig selektioniert, spontan präsentiert, theatralisch inszeniert, mutig balanciert, gewagt jongliert, gegenseitig inspiriert und die ganze Sauce auch noch mit Text- & Sound-Snippets garniert, sodass dann sicher die ganze Hütte vibriert.

Oder wenn man Chlüppliheiri zitiert: "Ich bi scho gspannt was als nöschsts chunnt" - denn Brockenhouse ist bewusst ein bisschen übermütiger und vielseitiger als die 0815 Club Mukke.

Ein bisschen persönlicher als der Grossverteiler, vielleicht nicht so sauber und geschliffen zwar, aber dafür mit Charakter, vielseitigem & wechselndem Angebot und versteckten Trouvaillen. 
Brockenhouse halt.

In nonverbalem Ausstausch zwischen Booth und Floor wird gefunden was passt und was nicht passt wird mit viel Herzblut passend gemacht.

Over the past 8 years or so we have had, along with Theo Parrish, the honour of playing the monthly residencies at a small basement club in Shoreditch, London with an impeccable sound system. After 20 years of operation, it was time to move on and close the doors on a place that has a lot to answer for in shaping modern club culture. To say this space along with the owner Ade’s singular vision was fundamental in our personal musical formation would be a complete understatement. 
 
On the day of their closing, manager Charlotte asked us if we’d put the system through its paces for the last time that the club would be open to the public. We set about packing the anthems from our respective residencies and on the night once the people were through the doors played 2 records in turn for the rest of the dance. We included tracks of our own and of friends that were made with that place in mind. Records like Daphni - Ye Ye and Four Tet - Pinnacles were made to first be played at Kieran’s nights there, and the Floating Points - Vacuum EP was born out of the CD-R night at the club, and its launch party was the trigger for Sam’s monthly residency.
 
We set this recording up just before the start of the night and unfortunately it distorts in places, but we make no apology for how joyfully noisy people get! The vibe in the room this night was typical of the club on any given night and we hope this recording captures just a fraction of the spirit of a Plastic People night.
 
A massive thank you from us to everyone that has come down to the nights over the years and supported our music there. We are truly humbled to have shared the music we love with people at this place, and your energy in turn has influenced the way we make music on an unfathomable scale. We also thank the bosses Charlotte Kepel and Ade Fakile for inviting us to the club and having faith in us over  these years! All the best for the future!

Unser aller Liebling Sonnensysteme [im Volksmund: SOSY] wird völlig zu Recht für seine außerordentlich technoiden und sphärischen Sets geschätzt, denn die hat er sowohl im entschleunigten als auch im beschleunigten Modus drauf wie kein Zweiter. 

Als Resident der Station Endlos findet er sich in einem Kollektiv wieder, dass nebst ihrer musikalischen Vielfalt auch die elektronische Festival-Szene mit eigenen Stages aus aufwändigen Holzkonstruktionen und detailverliebten Dekorationen aktiv mitgestaltet. 

Am vergangenen Wochenende zeigte unser geliebter SOSY auf dem IKARUS FESTIVAL mit zig neuen Tracks im Gepäck, dass er wie kaum ein Anderer seine kosmische Idee von Downtempo - irgendwo zwischen 90 und 108 BPM - mit Schallgeschwindigkeit in die Weiten des Äthers raushaut und damit absolut zu begeistern weiß!

Zudem sorgte er als nominierter Kandidat in der Kategorie „Sekttrinker des Jahres 2017“ auch abseits des DJ-Pults stets & ständig für gute Laune! Nicht zuletzt deshalb zählt der liebe SOSY auch zu unseren absoluten Lieblingen :)
