Our dance floor - aglow in pink neon, sparkling with disco balls and awash with champagne - felt like a little pocket of refuge for dusty travelers.

My Montreal performance for NYE 2023 was the best way to close the crazy 2022, and also to welcome the upcoming 2023 which I feel is going to be a very exciting and productive year. ☞ About the set
After the "The Balance" EP was signed with the renowned label Einmusika Recordings,
with three tracks on it, he produced within three weeks an additional six songs specifically for this event, which he then converted into his live set. The live set follows the sequence of the EP, culminating in a grand finale with a monumental last track. From the very first song, R.EK showcases his extraordinary interpretation of techno music with melodic approaches.

☞ About the event
In no time after finalizing the signing for R.EK's EP project, the eagerly anticipated release party was ignited by R.EK himself, alongside the illustrious Hive Club Zurich and the distinct party label Grundton.
Impeccably curating the lineup holds great significance for R.EK, driven by his unwavering dedication to greeting the audience with invigorating and soul-stirring melodies, ultimately guiding them towards an exhilarating crescendo.

For the release party, which took place on the Tanzifloor, R.EK invited the following artists and DJs:

With this carefully curated lineup, the release party promised to be an unforgettable night of musical diversity and captivating performances.

☞ The «Balance» EP
For the Original Track «The Balance» he teamed up with swiss singer and producer Natascha Polké. It's a beautiful, melodic and calm journey with her outstanding voice
and a lot of little details. "Behind" is more groovy and reduced yet driving and with a catchy lead line. On top, he added a remix by Thomas Schwartz and Fausto Fanizza which works for the club with a strong beat and deep bassline.

Starting with "Utopia” featuring Terry Grant, Armen Miran adds an uplifting touch that puts you in the mood for a beautiful journey. "Silhouettes”, remixed by Clawz SG, adds his special touch with deep and enigmatic sounds. Matan Caspi remixed the next track, "Shapeshifter", giving it a fast and darker vibe to stimulate your mind. Based in Berlin but originally from Italy, Soul Button has undoubtedly made a distinctive mark on the Melodic Techno scene, starting his personal project in 2012 along with the launch of his label and brand, Steyoyoke Recordings. As the inventor and trademark owner of the Ethereal Techno subgenre, his artist name, Soul Button, reflects a strong conceptual identity.

Soul Button transformed his label into a real brand, first establishing the two sub-labels Steyoyoke Black and Inner Symphony, and later developing his own clothing brand, SYYK Berlin, as well as his own publishing company, SYYK Publishing. Well known in the electronic music scene as one of the most skilled DJs and producers, for his mental and soulful sets and tracks, Soul Button has affirmed his international exposure.

His career took off with many successful singles like "Swift Minds" and "Wraith", the latter featuring acclaimed American vocalist Terry Grant. Tracks like "Reverie" and "Metamorphosis" were a great anticipation of his first album, released in December 2019, "Phantom Existence", a 13-original track album that marked a significant moment in his career, followed by a remix edition in April 2020.

Recent years have seen continued success with the release of the "Pantheon" EP alongside Monarke, and singles such as "God Save The Rave", "Crescendo", "Merine", "Infinitude", and "Dalliance", capturing the attention of techno enthusiasts worldwide. His latest work includes "Walking Straight Up", a single that highlights his ascent in 2023, together with the collection, "Dual Realms of Sound", which was a testament to Soul Button's evolving sound and his ability to capture the duality of rhythm and melody, further solidifying his place in the techno realm. 2024 sees his second official album "Master Minds", which will be launched in April 2024, with preceding singles "Lumina" and "Tartribe".

Having cemented himself firmly in the scene, Soul Button maintains focus on the continuous growth and development of his labels as well as his own personal career. The upcoming years will surely be busy with new tours and projects on the horizon.
