Ahead of their appearance in the ProgRAM hosted Room Three this Friday at the annual RAM Xmas Party, the south east based production trio Slang Banger, have put together a cursory 60 minute mix that serves as the perfect introduction to their technique. It's also quite timely as it affords us the perfect opportunity to remind you that although advance tickets for the event have long sold out, there will be PLENTY of tickets available to purchase on the door. We only ever sell 50% of our capacity up front so if you get here early (doors will open at 10pm) you should definitely be able to snag yourself the opportunity to party with Wilkinson, Loadstar, Delta Heavy and the rest of the RAM family.

A Critical Music charity fundraising album project for Oxfam's refugee crisis appeal, featuring tracks donated by Current Value, Enei, Foreign Concept, Halogenix, Hyroglifics, Klax, Sam Binga & Signal.  Over the last two Christmas' the team at Critical huddled together and decided that rather than let some sought after unreleased music sit idle on their hard drives they would put it to use and offer people the chance to download the tracks in return for donating something to charity. 

This year is no different and we at Critical have all gone through the vaults and put an album together, again for an important cause. We have chosen Oxfam's Refugee Crisis Appeal which is something close to all of our hearts. Millions of people have been forced to flee their homes, to run for their lives and risk the safety of their families. The Bristol based producer D’TCH delivers 4 refreshing tracks with the No Good  EP. The EP merges together 160+ footwork, techno, jungle and electronic music with heavy basses. Opening track “Fire Pon” mixes Jamaican vocals and technoid beats with dubstep-kind sections producing an addictive mood. “Get Closer” is a groovy footwork influenced track with garage-style vocals. “No Good” is pure acid techno translated into the 160+ language: the result is a fresh hybrid rhythm with retro sounds and future mood. “NRG”, in collaboration with Samurai Breaks, one of the rising stars of The Dreamers camp, closes the EP with old school jungle breaks combined with a new attitude and influences from the most innovative electronic sounds of 2020.
