The idea for the extended version here started from an improvised collaboration with vocalist Wilson Goh in 2011. Wilson sang the track in the appropriate key along a click track as bare vocals. The rest of the instruments and arrangements were recorded and created afterwards by Wil.

Being kind to ourselves, acknowledging our personal achievements or saying ‘I love you’ to your mirror image is often something we overlook or avoid in our life. An expression of love to yourself is an important gesture of self-acceptance which you can express on a daily basis. You are the only one you have, from birth to death, so that person should receive positive attention on a regular basis as an act of self-appreciation; a big warm hug to yourself in support of moving forward with life while being supportive to others. A personal strengthening of self and an acknowledgement for what you have created for you. Especially in these times of change, we all need self-love and kindness to self as support for inner balance, confidence and sense of fulfilment.

An intended focus on your personal strengths and purpose, coming from your heart space and your inner voice of knowing and your connection to the world around you. Release the need for external confirmation. Strengthen the aspects of love, kindness, compassion and empathy to self and others from your heart space, to maintain a calm balance for yourself and all you are connected to.

SO-Strengthening From Within

The intention we set for this session is to manage the warrior in us to address change.

There is a higher earth vibration in place right now. This is a universal response to what is happening within us and around us and it is happening at a faster rate. It’s like a fever, a natural response of our physical body towards healing; a higher vibration to get better. 
We need to become aware and accept that no matter what our response is, whether we fight, rebel, are angry or frustrated, or defer, we will be going through one and the same process to arrive at one and the same outcome eventually. There is no right or wrong, there is no good or bad choice here. This time may bring out warrior-like responses in us; a fierceness and determination required to carry us through this time of change. This warrior temperament can be managed and applied positively for change and the necessity of letting go of old belief systems, habits and addictions. This then will bring us into an adapted state of being, grounded, resilient and open.

The intention we set for this session is to go within to connect to self and address change.

Going within, is necessary at times, to reset our personal approach to life and to re-calibrate, review our values, our purpose and everything we connect with or that what challenges us on our journey here. Especially in these times of change, we need to realise that this time can be taken as a retreat. We can grow awareness that our individual mindset and thinking as well as that of the collective, is creating the platform for a new way of being. The time and events we are currently experiencing, require a paradigm shift, away from what we are doing, how we were acting and valuing life thus far. Going within with the intention of Love, to self and others, allows for the shifts needed to move through this time as a self-empowered being and not as a victim. As we go within and connect to our inner source, we may realize that our state of ‘knowing’ or our level of wisdom does not originate from our human experience here only, but is something we carry within us as souls through our learning over time and through our subconscious connections to Truth, for all and the greater good of life here and beyond.

I'm born and raised in The Netherlands and have lived and worked in Singapore since 1995. Since 2012 I have developed an effective and grounding format to shift and strengthen general well-being and  one's personal capacity through sound therapy, energy work, shamanic-based practice and coaching. My innate connection to sound and energy based healing modalities, combined with my natural mode of helping people, complements my lifelong experience as a musician, creative, lecturer and coach.
 
I conduct deeply relaxing Sound Meditation sessions in group setting as well as with individual clients that leaves them lighter and rejuvenated, while shifting core issues at the basis of various physical, mental or emotional personal life challenges.

The music on this channel includes relaxation tracks, binaural recording with singing bowls, and collaborative tracks with vocalist Wilson Goh.
