In this edition we present new album 'Latibule' from Ekorce, who's joining us for a chat before the mix. Ekorce is a psychedelic downtempo project by French producer Kyrian Nicolay-Kritter, about telling stories with organic sounds, hypnotic melodies, broken rhythms and deep sub basses. Inspired by psychedelic music for many years, he launched the project Ekorce in 2015. Between 2018 and 2020 he released an EP and an album on Merkaba Music. At the end of 2020 he joined the international downtempo collective Shanti Planti and released his EP “Imago”, elected best EP of 2020 by the psybient.org community. Alongside his music journey, he completed a PhD in Neurosciences in early 2021 and then he fully focused on his next album “Latibule” for almost a year, releasing it now in early 2022. So stoked to have been asked to come back to Firedrums to play the BIPOC takeover.

Live at Firedrums 2024

This is my liquid sunrise set from FireDrums Flow Festival in Wilseyville, CA on June 2nd, bright and early at 6:15am. Because of that, and out of respect to tired fire dancer bodies, I played this one at a slighter slower bpm than usual. The vibes were unmatched though! Liquid is forever my favorite and I LOVEEE playing liquid sunrise sets. I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed playing it!
