Jullian Gomes was born and grew up in the Republic of South Africa on a steady
diet of Portuguese chicken, Soul, Latin and kwaito before discovering House
Music at the tender age of eight.
Since his first gig in 2003, his career has traveled only upward, and his love for
production and skill-set grew steadily with it. Alongside cousin, Michael G, he
began the G.Family collective and has released on Top South African Independent
labels including Soulcandi and House Afrika followed shortly by records on some
of house musics most influential international labels such as Realtone Records,
Foliage Records, Atjazz Record Company, Seasons limited, Deepershades
Recordings and Earthrumental Music.
In 2010 he stepped off the shores of his home continent to participate at the Red
Bull Music Academy, which took place in London.
He has since then been invited to play at several local festivals including
Oppikoppi, Rocking the Daisies, Cape Town Electronic Music Festival and in
2011 was invited to play a dream slot at Sonar Festival 2011 in Barcelona, one of
the most highly regarded music festivals in the world.

At 23 years of age in 2012 Jullian also picked up his 1st MTN South African
Music Award Nominee when G.Family's Album ''Break the Silence'' Deep House
Chronicles vol 6 was nominated in the category ''best dance album''.

Deciding to take a break from the G.Family collective in early 2012 Jullian Gomes
Released he's solo debut single ''Love Song 28'' (Ft. Bobby) as well as he's 2nd
Single in collaboration with Atjazz ''Overshadowed''

His inclusion into such prestigious and notable occasions is a testament to the hard
work and many years of plying his trade ad an avid music fan, producer and DJ.
Now rolling with UK veteran and influential industry stalwart Atjazz and his
Record Company, Jullian is on an eternal quest to widen his musical horizons with
shuffled claps and electronic soul.

Soul Candi started out as a record shop in vinyl DJing’s heyday, and it was where like-minded DJs from across the country would converge to hear and buy the latest, tastiest house tracks. The store became a focal point for house proponents of the caliber of DJ Fresh, Oskido, Euphonik and many more. But despite the presence of these big personalities, everyone was welcome, and the beats were a treat. As house music became THE sound of South Africa, the business grew and Soul Candi started making the most popular tunes available to everybody via their range of cool compilation CDs. Now the nation could own what the best DJs were playing on the airwaves and in the clubs. Now Soul Candi has a new mission statement: it’s been re-coded as an all-encompassing media house – which ironically takes the company back to its roots: sharing the best house music the world has to offer.
