Defying trends while being perfectly in tune with the times is not a feat that comes easy. @jiminxir (pronounced Jimi Noir) makes it seem like it is. His spell-binding voice and remarkable talent as a songwriter comes with a unique sonic vision that puts the 21-year-old in a league of his own. 

Upon graduating from the Red Bull Music Academy in 2013, the New York-based artists has unleashed a series of astounding tunes - each decidedly singular - making us expect big things from his upcoming 'GXLD' EP. His cut "Since September" is a self-produced, sultry fall hit that has the power to act as substitute for the fireplace on those cold nights.

When Are You Going To Land

The Munich based duo Coeo are the stars of our fourteenth release. Florian Vietz and Andreas Hopfl have presented us with three original tracks with nice and special character. Closer EP is definitely a landmark release for us at Lagaffe Tales which challenges us to follow up with this new standard in the following future. The title track Closer is the star of the release. What stands out if the great percussion work and hauntingly beautiful vocal sample, whispering into our ears. As if the original track was not enough, we were lucky to get one of our biggest influences; Lay-Far to remix the track. The remix takes the percussion work to the next level and still staying true to the original mix. Lay-Far does not disappoint and makes sure that we connect memories we hold dear to the track. Mind Games is a beautiful piece with a tight baseline and enchanting piano atmosphere.  The duo bring to the table another beautiful piano sampling piece in the third track Timid Dancer. The whole EP has encouraged us to work harder and to grow in the right direction as a label.

We are very excited about this released from Sonic Soul boss Rishi K.! This is a groovy slice of psychedelic deep house with amazing remixes from Tom Lown, Ariane Blank and Jero Nougues.

The original version of "Strange & Beautiful" is best described in the title. A subtle blend of deep and progressive elements, this track takes you on a journey from a deep bass groove right up to the psychedelic heights of bliss complete with a slick guitar lick.

Ariane Blank re-interprets the original with a sublimely deep and spacey remix. It is perhaps the most melodic and unique of the remixes and includes a beautiful guitar type melodic throughout, along with some African instruments.

The Tom Lown remix is a little deeper than the original, with some added percussion elements and new beautiful female vocals. It is perfect for warm up sets and has an exotic tropical feel to it.

The Jero Nougues remix is also very deep! It is punctuated with ambient percussions and includes a few beautifully placed melodic elements while rearranging the vocals and guitar lick to fit together in a seamless remix.
