Freerange are proud to present the third retrospective remixes compilation from our very own Jimpster. It’s fair to say that as well as being an experienced and in-demand DJ, golden eared A&R head, versatile and accomplished producer and song writer, Jamie Odell is perhaps most revered for his deft touch when it comes to remixing other artists. It’s something he has been drawn to and made a lot of time for from as far back as 1997 when he took on Lamb’s Gorecki. Since then Jimpster has lent his Midas touch to everyone from Bob Marley and Seal through to Adam Port, Detroit Swindle and Solomun, notching up towards two hundred remixes over the last twenty years. Many of these important productions were put together on two previous remix retrospectives, and now, we’re happy to be releasing the third of these taking in highlights from 2008 through to 2017.

Once again, we’re happy to welcome a new member to the Lazy Days family, Paso Doble. Born and raised in Algeria and now based in Montreal, he took the Afro House scene by storm with his latest album, Africa Knows Me, who features singers from all over Africa. Black Coffee is a big fan amongst many others. When he sent me his album, one track stood out, Djadjalo feat IDD Aziz, who formerly sang with Salif Keita. I instantly wanted to remix it. The result was 4 versions which we decided to licence for a release on Lazy Days. This is a special project for us. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Party time again at Forms & Figures! Tigerskin returns with three brand new and very danceable tunes fresh from his lab. We start off with ‚Parasite’. Filled with an old school rave bass line and seemingly endless groove, it’s a perfect stomper for the House floor that will hopefully put a smile on peoples faces. With the Rare- Groove influenced ‚Good Flute‘ we dig deeper into an ocean of filters, funky guitars, stings and flutes while with ‚Ain’t a Star’ we return to the cloudy and more classic Tigerskin-Spaciness. 

All tracks mixed by Stefan Janson and mastered by Salz Mastering.
