Joe recorded this at the Soulection HQ and made sure to incorporate the energy that was flowing through the room that day. Coming off a heavy week-end and crazy party in LA (Fire Cracker 15 Year Anniversary) this past Friday, Joe went in HEAVY to make up for last week's situation. Even though he was on 1 hour of sleep he still managed to get in 116 tracks in 3 hours! Say whattttt? Music heals.

There is something for everybody in here. Lots of unreleased music + music that was forgotten about. Shouts to all the amazing people who tuned in to the live show. Every once in a while we like to make a post about the location of our radio listeners and it's always inspiring to see how many people are actually tuning in and the locations that they reside in. We really missed you last weekend but just know we were in SF making some power moves. In order to make up for our absence we returned this time along with the pioneer/legendary House Shoes. First off, thank you to everyone who tuned into Soulection Radio live yesterday. We had so many listeners that Kbeach's servers went down. Sorry about that! We are working on it. For this week's special guest if you want to talk about pioneers in the game Mr. Choc is one of them. One of our favorite DJ's who's talent and accomplishments are not to be overlooked. Representing the world famous Beat Junkies crew and Skam Artists, the crew was blessed to have this man come by Kbeach and hit us with a set and great interview session. The thing we admire the most about Choc is that he has his ears close to the new generation of music and understands the culture. He threw down a really diverse set and kept us on our toes. Joe Kay was on his soulful chop vibe and has really been digging back into the classic neo-soul/boombap sound. Make sure you really pay attention to the interview at the end. Some great insight on commercial radio on the west coast as well as opportunities for upcoming DJ's. Catch you next week at the same time. Spread this session to as many people as possible <3.
