VVAA and songs

Three 6 Mafia founding member <a href="http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/magazine/gangsta-boo-interview">Gangsta Boo</a> and Barcelona-based RBMA grad <a href="http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/people/sinjin-hawke">Sinjin Hawke</a> team up for the likely / unlikely collaboration "Yea Hoe." The track succeeds in translating the bare-boned Memphis sound into a club-ready hi-fi hurrah. 

Built on gloomy vocal wails and big brass, the track is paced with discipline, exploding into a spectacular slice of low-slung orchestral crunk, before giving anyone a chance to take their elbows back down.

Disparate producers with complimentary sounds, Evil Needle and Sivey met in an online beat community 6 years ago and to this day have never met in real life. On June 24, 2014 they present their first official EP, 'Constructive Interference', to the world. 'Constructive Interference' was created over the span of 3 years and embodies the unique soundscapes of each producer. 

Today, we are excited to share with you the single, "Constructive Interference" - a dreamy, bass-heavy, broken beat jam that really nicely sums up the feel of the collaborative sounds between Evil Needle & Sivey. 

Evil Needle, based in Strasbourg France [just on the border of Germany] pulls inspiration from traditional hip hop, neo-soul and trap music while seamlessly weaving in open synths and chunky chord progressions. Manchester, UK-based Sivey incorporates soulful beat-oriented music with what he calls "emotional highs and lows that are still musically stimulating" adding a beautifully uptempo sensibility.

The two come together to create a big sound vibration that is reminiscent of the round sound of vinyl – this time in a digital version.

After a bit of a hiatus due to travels spreading the sound of tomorrow globally, we are back with the 10th installation of our White Label Series with a feel good project from our boy J-Louis.

This installment of our White Label Series comes from 21 year old LA-based producer and drummer, J Louis. You may remember Mr. Louis as the resourceful young man who experimented with beatmaking on his iPhone in the past. This time, he's been working with Ableton and other music creation programs to develop his signature sound further.

This White Label series sees J-Louis moving a into some more uptempo and housey vibes while still keeping his signature bass heavy sound intact.

SWL010 has J-Louis remixing rising vocalist @rachelfoxx in the "Before You" jam, sampling Raphael Saadiq & Teedra Moses Ft. Corey Tinay's "I Want You Back" in "Can't You See" and collaborating with dope producer, @orijanus on "Hot N Ready".

When Ta-ku recently came out to LA we had the chance to finally meet and connect after years of pure digital connection. Ta-ku by far is an individual (beyond just an artist) who we respect so much as a person aside of his great talents as a musician. In fact, Ta-ku is someone that has pure role model characteristics. Earlier this week, Ta-ku pointed out that we just reached 10K LIKES on our Facebook page and mentioned how he had started on this track that was dedicated to a man named Trey who recently passed away from cancer. Trey was a true Ta-ku and Soulection supporter and in response Ta-ku created this track. So with this story in mind, this one is for Trey! Shouts to Trey, his family, and friends!
