I never understood why my life went the way that it did
Some say that music ain't worth it. But I say that it is
Because I never lived for nothing else to crave or fight
Except this music. It kept me, and it saved my life
And it swept me off my feet and it was hard when I felt
The pain that I was given with the cards that I was dealt 
I may seem happy, but inside I'm uncertain feelings

Are the ones who say they love you, but you find out they're just acting 
Yet they're close enough to come in and hit you where it hurts
Everybody wants a champion but scared to be the first
So we panic!! And stand against the wall like a manic 
Won't dare to trust a soul. Running around frantic
Where's Heaven!? I finally want to get up with my brethren
Plan a party for the ones that I love before they check-in
Evil's raining (reigning) on Earth. People acting real shallow

Everybody want to call me and scream my name
Hoping things are gonna change but they seem the same
People talking and they're acting like they love me
But I keep walking because I know they want to judge me
And every time I get up, something pulls me down
And I've been searching for love and it should be found 
Where's Heaven? Can I get it? If so, then when?

It feels so good to know that someone out there really loves you
To know that someone cares and always think of you
When you're dead broke, they still treat you like you're special
Help you fight that devil. Invite you out that ghetto. Enlighten you
Don't live your life like me!! Get your hustle.
Find the one you want to be with, plan and fall in love... slow
I got the feeling every chance we get
We run away from all the healing. And can't see shit!!
We're too busy!! I have to got online to check my hotmail
Complain about the time and I'm upset because I got mail
I'm reading the subject, I say "Oh hell!!" 
I got these eMails from "females" @aol
And Lord knows I need a little more, though I think You're by me
I'm waiting on the day of Your return to sanctify me
And the only four things that helps me fee like I'm there
Is this music, my family and love and prayer
So take me there!! Utopia!! I come with open arms
Getting rid of all my phobias is what I'll focus on
Am I this hopeless, brokest-like being doing music?
Because I venerate it all the people think I'm stupid
It's useless. I can't explain. Can't always roll the deuces
Don't tell me how to live my life!! You're acting like a nuisance 
I'll prove it. It's a world movement. Patterns, colorful
What matters is we're scattered out to let the others know

Now growing up across the globe made me lost in my mind 
And as a kid I felt like "criss-crossed" up in time 
And i didn't realize it then, I never did notice 
That it put a strain on my mind and kept me unfocused 
Lord knows I just wanted a regular life 
But two years, give or take a few, was never alright  
Mama working all the time like my step-dad did 
So they could bring us all the things they never had as a kid 
We was always on the move and that's what made me unstable 
Cuz I had to follow them, and go the places they'd go 
Alone in this world, I couldn't grow with a friend 
Every time in my mind I'm starting over again 
And even though I had a lotta friends up till today 
Like a privilege in life they all were taken away 
And that's what led me to believe that I was weak in my mind 
That's why I never showed the pain that I was keeping inside
