Talk about an educational session. Due to all the adversity we went through with this show we had LIKE play music past the last hour and extend all the way for a total of 3 hours & 39 minutes. From the very first minute to the very end we were providing music that you never heard of or forgot about, configuring wires, figuring out audio issues, chopping it up about food, you name it. So much effort went into producing this show. We want to thank our brother LIKE for rolling through and blessing us with a proper DJ set, freestyle over Esta's beat, and talking to us about his experiences growing up and being in Pac Div. This man has traveled the world, played alongside the best in the game, and has also produced for/with the best (Kendrick, The Neptunes, ect). Joe Kay made sure to touch on topics that are very insightful. LIKE will be releasing with us on Soulection so stay tuned! We'll be back next week with Dream Koala and another heavy session for you.

Coming off Grammy week connections and our 3 Year Anniversary we returned for yet another solid show. Our special guests who were scheduled for this show couldn't make it but Joe Kay brought out a variety of new and classic gems from the Soulection crates. This show was really engaging because Joe reached out to all the listeners and asked the audience what they wanted to hear via social media. It was amazing to see how many people were listening and how many people requested for a certain track. For the last hour and 1/2 you the people we're DJ'ing/selecting music! How amazing right? Eritrean-American DJ, producer an all-around creative Eden Hagos brings visibility to those future sounds that you can’t quite put your genre finger on. Deeply rooted in underground hip-hop, sample-based, percussion-heavy tunes, and future bass, Eden’s ear for unique sounds has kept her digging since her uncle gave her her first Fugees album at age 16.

Eden has dropped 20 mix-tapes - the third installation, "Currently", caught the attention of OkayPlayer deeming the young beatstress "a prophet of future sounds". The beat scene and local producers started listening and partnerships with artists, labels, and connectors in the community became plentiful.

Miss Hagos’ love for creative culture has led to opportunities to perform at underground clubs, international festivals, and celebrity and fashion events alike. She has opened for Snakehips, Anderson. Paak, Jmsn, Syd tha Kid, Tokimonsta, Sango, and Goldlink to name a few.

Eden is poised to bring light to the beat makers in this movement while uncovering and educating folks along the way of all of the genres that exist within these future sounds.
