This is a song about going after your dreams. About taking risks and doubling down on yourself. For me that's music. I enjoy doing it, and I'm going to be successful at it. 
Whatever that thing is for YOU, go DO IT! It doesn't matter what people say. If they are being negative, they are probably just people who were too scared to take a risks for themselves.
