'After releasing FLEISHER’s Vortex EP, Soulfooled is happy to start the new year with Matthias Winnfield’s second EP on Soulfooled. With the 'Rate Your Bad Trip' EP, the Turkish producer is continuing his outstanding work of peak- time bombs.

The EP kicks off with an afro-influenced track 'Rate Your Bad Trip'. A percussion- and drums-loaded tune underlined with trippy vocals.

The second track is 'Sphinx', a piece of high tension with slowly evolving predator bass sounds that also increases traffic as minutes passes by.

The EP is closed with the 'Those Were The Days' track. Mathias describes this track “as the emotional one, supported with a bouncing bass line and some surprise drops at the end”.

Alterego - Rebirth

For the first time in label history, Keinemusik is putting out an EP with just remixes. The moniker for this: Doppelgänger. The reason for this: Well, we like remixes and were curious to find out how other artists, artists that we appreciate a lot, would approach our material. Why now, you might ask. Why wait for the catalogue number KM038? See, we just wanted to offer those guys a decent pool of tracks to choose from.

Simple Symmetry are going for Adam Ports I Never Wear Black on Side A, transforming the original into a dramatic ride through gong echoing frenzy and riff-heavy e-guitar emphasis. The originals guitar lead on the other hand gets some synthetic treatment, just to be backed up by spaced out synth melodies and an organic bassline.

The second chapter sees &MEs and Finks gruelling comedown score One On One turn into a meditation over groove, courtesy of Bedouin. The guys are going for a sparse, sophisticated arrangement, opening space for Finks shattered croon, yet raising the temperature after the break into a threatening, string-laden climax.

The closing assignment is handled by Redshape. Hes repositioning Rampas Newborn Soul through his very own dark recourse on Electro-Techno. The producer enigma even more so adds some EBM flavour to his signature sound, incorporating a catchy synth bass and heavy, stomping beat. Floor quaking material indeed.

International Deejay Gigolo Records are releasing a remix compilation of DJ Hell produced experimental track „Wir Reiten Durch Die Nacht“, taken from his 5th studio album „Zukunftsmusik“.
 
This release features remixes of internationally renowned artists such as Adriatique, Deetron, Marc Houle and Coyu. First up is Adriatique’s remix, a reflection of their own interpretation of electronic music with a strong and playful vibe. Followed by Deetron’s production, a cool and twisted reimagination of the original with his own trademark sound. Coyu’s remix is a dancefloor ready interpretation of the original cut, with a decidedly more pumped up and dark atmosphere. Last but not least, Marc Houle’s production stands out with it’s arty and eclectic soundscape, focusing on the core elements of the original.

Will be Released in Spring 2018.

The rising techno producer, host of Body's Up Radioshow and resident at Circus Afterhours in Montreal, is most certainly one to keep on your radar in 2018. Soulfooled's upcoming release 'Venus Rising' hails all the way from Miami. Russian producer Kate Ozz has submerged herself in the sunny club circuit of Florida's most buzzing town, where her fine musical skillset did not go unnoticed by some established players like Solomun and Black Coffee. Kate produced a solid melodic house record with three originals and an Ivory remix.

Title track 'Venus' is a musing track, which heavily leans on rich bass synths. The tune surprises when an agitated, urgent female voice enters the stage.

To add a different perspective to the record, Soulfooled invited Ivory to rework 'Venus'. The Italian DJ has made a good name for himself, having his most recent releases played in almost every set of Dixon or Solomun lately. In Ivory's remix of 'Venus' (90's Revenge) we still hear the voice, but Kate's bass soundscape is gone. Ivory did add a fresh, uplifting key part, which reminds you immediately of a distinctive 90's sound. 'Transformation' builds on the Venuses' energies, kicking off with a rich sound in the low regions. The track evolves towards a characteristic piece with intensive hovering synths that enter and leave the song at their own pace.

Kate's EP 'Venus Rising' closes with 'High Vibrations', is a slow burner, keeping the soundscape fairly minimal. However, the track builds to be a sweet melodic classic to nicely wrap up the record.

Altogether 'Venus Rising' is a strong pack from Soulfooled camp.
