Cryptozoology, the search for and study of animals whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the Loch Ness monster and the yeti, is something that Henry Saiz finds deeply intriguing. His love of exoticism and strange natural/organic sounds (his own label is called Natura Sonoris - which means Nature of Sound) provide the fuel for this latest stunning Bedrock release.

“The Cryptozoologist” has an instantly striking, mysterious Andean / Peruvian melodic influence that harks back to cultures shrouded in the mysteries of time, creating a truly haunting track. “Uncharted” is equally hypnotic and enthralling and yet distinctly different. Henry is using a lot of analogue vintage gear to create his music, which is giving him a very distinct sound, a path that will lead to his hotly awaited debut artist album (due out in April 2013) on which he will delve totally into and explore an analogue world (www.wearehenrysaiz.com).

Henry's critically acclaimed “Balance 019” album, released in 2011, was the catalyst for his star potential explode around the globe. His superb collaboration with Guy J (“Meridian”) and his solo track (“La Marea”) for the landmark Bedrock 100 release, were of the highest level of quality and his most recent release, “Our Discovery” (Natura Sonoris), became a huge Ibiza hit this summer, with supporters including John Digweed, Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., Luciano, Visionquest, Danny Howells and many others. Henry Saiz is undoubtedly an extraordinarily talented young producer who is simply too exciting to be ignored!

Gabriel Ananda's Soulful Techno label is back after a couple of months of absence! With new found flair and a fresh look the German imprint is ready to bring you some of the finest soulful techno music out there, and we kick things off with this 2-tracker by Serhan Guney.

Serhan Guney is a Turkish music producer that has been supported by DJs such as Solomun, Joris Voorn, Sasha and many more and has already released on Diynamic, Manual Music, Dear Deer and Beatfreak Limited to name a few.

His musical taste can vary from melodic techno for the dance floors, through emotional deep house melodies for the listeners, to acoustic piano compositions. Tim Engelhardt's 2020 album 'Idiosynkrasia' felt cinematic in form and orchestral in structure, catalysing deep breaths, reflection and a different way of thinking by way of its genre-bending narrative. Now, some of the long-players most precious and tender moments get reinterpreted by a stellar cast of artists, no doubt with the intimate physicality of dancing bodies in mind. The result is a killer package of three versatile cuts that, while each setting a contrast to their source material, amplify different sides of a feeling Tim's work naturally encapsulated – the flow-state. 

Melodic luminary Rodriguez Jr. reimagines the album's introspective opener 'Attached' as a progressive masterclass of deeply engulfing bass, gently cascading synths and hopeful piano variations, showcasing his one-of-a-kind grasp of subtle euphoria. In andhim's hands, the title-track 'Idiosynkrasia' then gets the b-boy treatment as the duo beef-up the original's breakbeat-driven lowend and flip Tim's idiosyncratic melodies on their head by adding a healthy dose of funk. Last but not least, Sam Shure strips 'Touch the Sky' of its organic feel, expertly rethreading Hannah Noelle's stunning vocals into a pressure-cooker of a club track.
