BassDubbers - Funk'd EP

Firing up all cylinders, we start our engines for 2019 with the year ahead set to be full of releases from up and coming talents and Addictive stalwarts. We begin with this three track treat from the man known as Objectiv, who first made his appearance on Addictive's recent 5 Year's album with his stunning liquid vibes in 'Obligation'. He returns with this head-spinning 3 track single, demonstrating some solid & diverse productions skills from the London based producer.

Each riddim on offer brings a different flavour to the release. Opening strong with 'Tape Pack', a techy stepper delivering a snappy punch with crispy sticky drums and intricate percussions in the mids. Stalking close behind is 'The Greyhound' in track number two. This fast paced heavy hitting dogger is in a class all of its own and hotly tipped by big headz and music press to trigger an all new dnb Sub-genre. The urban hipster's are calling it a "Rolley Roller". All we know is it will get those subs a woofing! And to finish, a collaboration with producer Teej titled 'Absolute'. Objectiv and Teej's versatility is shown here, with its majestic build-up in the intro dropping out into twisted bassy stabs. A real moody dance-floor killer.

Symmetry are kicking off the summer vibes with a new Various Artist album " Summetry", following their recent EP from DSP and double sided single from KonSoul. Focusing on musical, deep and liquid DnB flavours for this release, tracks were handpicked to encapsulate the spirit of the season. 
Welcoming artists such as DJ Marky, Lenzman and L SB to the label roster for their exclusive additions to this compilation. Each of these talented producers bring their signature style and sound with their offerings.
Vocal content is a strong feature with two Break & Kyo collaborations already receiving extensive club and radio support. Lenzman skillfully reworks the vocals of Charli Brix with his stylish remix of the Ill Truth & Satl track 'In Your Soul'.
Total Science & FD, Hydro & War and LSB deal effortlessly with the summer roller duties, combining dance floor grooves with warm soulful soundscapes. 
Symmetry are pleased to unleash debuts from Arcatype and EchoB, who give their own unique version of the label's sound through their expert productions.
Incus, DFlect & Arcus and Native Alliance round the project off with their deep and jazzy tunes, bringing the sunset moods to a release perfect for the forthcoming summer festivals.

As a celebration for their 1K milestone on Facebook and their forthcoming EP on Soul Lab, we decided to release one track for free. Seek and support!

Originally from Cornwall, Subtle Element is going back to his roots for his debut Dispatch Limited EP.

Spanish imprint Parallel Depth continue to sparkle and startle in the most brilliant of ways, bringing through only the very best from their homebase in Sevilla, on both a national and international level. For their latest EP, which arrives tomorrow August 4th, they've recruited Belgian beatsmith Medok, who continues to impress after a run of strong, upbeat productions. We've got the pleasure of premiering the lead track from his Parallel Depth release, entitled 'Mind Games'. It's a real beauty, harnessing sharp, shuffling breakbeat diagnostics, a pitch-perfect, swooping vocal and a delightful, partnered sub and pads combo that really puts the icing on the cake. Medok - Mind Games [Parallel Depth] [OTW Premiere]

Just as the ground we live on connects every human on earth, the common love for drum and bass has created Soul Lab. You and I are both driven by the enormous power and wave of nostalgia that music can provide, but we both know that the drum and bass scene goes beyond that. It’s about creating a bond between souls that feel the same amount of love for the music. Soul Lab has used that feeling as a foundation in order to build a new community, the Soul Scientists.

Soul Lab is an independent Belgium-based record label ran by Thibaut, Bram & Pieter. Our goal is to give up and coming artists as well as already established names in the scene a platform to release their music on.
