My name is Salvatore S. Wojcik, and I am a guitarist/songwriter who enjoys writing pop/soul/jazz tunes.  I played with the bands Jim Quarry and the Miners, from 1986 - 1990, and Soul Purpose, from 1991 - 1995, performing and recording in the New York City area.  We played in various clubs such as The Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, Under Acme, Dan Lynch's, The Lone Star Roadhouse, and The Cat Club, where in 1989, as a member of Jim Quarry and the Miners, took home third place in East Coast Rocker Magazine's Battle of the Bands Contest.   I won a Certificate of Achievement Award from Billboard Magazine for my song "Not Alone Tonight," in 1995.  Right now I am recording by myself, and finding my way through instrumental music.  The journey has been fruitful and inspiring.  My goal is to find a singer, and hopefully record and perform together as a duo.  Music has always been my solace.  I hope you enjoy!
