Markus Schneider and Stefan Maurer, known as The Robot Scientists, are two music connoisseurs, DJs, and vinyl collectors hailing from Saarbrücken, Germany.

They are also two of the three founders of Emerald & Doreen Records, established in 2011, which specializes in releases on the fringes of italo and nu-disco.

As DJs, they emphasize italo and arpeggio basslines, believing that more is better. They creatively explore themes like robots, consciousness, psychedelics, superpowers, aliens, space travel, creativity, futurism, fun, and freedom. Their sound journeys into both utopian and occasionally dystopian realms, though they usually keep things light-hearted, reflecting their fun-loving nature.

Las but not least, they also run SOMETHING SPÆCIAL since 2013, one of the genre leading mix series on Soundcloud.
