Sam Ruffillo is the Italian DJ and producer making waves as the disco heartbeat of Toy Tonics, and he's already commanding attention with just three EPs under his belt. Heavy-hitters like Gerd Janson, The Blessed Madonna, Palms Trax, DJ Tennis, and Seth Troxler are all backing his sound—making it clear that Sam is more than just a rising star. His tracks “Danza Organica” and “Perfetta Cosi” quickly became the go-to anthems for 2023 summer sets, cementing his place at the forefront of the scene.
But Sam's story goes beyond just buzz. His latest EP “Italianissimo 2” features a track that's taken over Italian pop radio playlists and is gaining serious traction in the underground club scene worldwide. A product of Sicily with roots in New York, his music is pure Mediterranean disco and funk house, laced with Italian vocals and an energy that takes you straight to the dancefloor. It's all about that vibe—Italian vocals, vintage disco, and timeless funk, spiced up with a 90s house edge that hits like a freight train.
Sam’s sets? Unpredictable, electrifying, and a celebration of everything he loves: it’s that "authentically Italian" sound—blending rare 80s disco edits, lush funk, and 90s house bangers that send crowds into a frenzy. As 2024 wraps up, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible year we've had at SOULMEEX. We couldn’t let it pass without celebrating in style!

Of course, with Tom Banks, better known as Donald Dust, who emerged on the electronic music scene in 2017 with his debut EP, Dazzle Ship, released on No Bad Days. His music draws from a vibrant mix of golden-era italo synths, WBMX radio mixes, Ron Hardy-style drum tracks, and the early sounds of eurodisco-influenced house. This distinct mix of retro and modern elements quickly earned him recognition, with subsequent releases on Bordello A Parigi and the Edinburgh-based label Paradise Palms further showcasing his evolving style.
 
In 2018, Donald Dust launched his own label, Enter Planet Dust, debuting with the Mars R-Trax 7". The release, inspired by modular synth experiments, vintage sound effects, and disco drum grooves, highlighted his knack for crafting genre-bending DJ tools. That same year, he began a residency at Edinburgh’s Paradise Palms, hosted the Other Thumpers radio show on EH-FM, and performed across the UK, Europe, and the U.S. His 2019 EP, Fluorescent Music solidified his reputation, combining italo-tinged burners, sci-fi-inspired soundscapes, and experimental synth work. 

Since then, he has released 12”s with Bordello a Parigi, Wilson Records and Blaq Numbers, plus tracks and remixes on esteemed labels such as Toy Tonics and SlothBoogie, continuing to explore new directions in electronic music while staying true to his roots.
 
A passionate collector of records since childhood, Donald balances his studio work with DJing, and remains committed to create music that bridges the nostalgic energy of past decades with fresh, contemporary sounds.

SOULMEEX DECKS kicks off its journey in 2025, landing in Mexico for the first time ever with Dam Vera, and we couldn't be more excited about it!

For over two decades, Dam's been a key figure in Mexico City's music scene, serving as a DJ and co-founder of Galaxie Nites, a renowned monthly party held at Departamento Studio Bar. He maintains residencies at some of the city's most iconic clubs and plays a pivotal role in the cult weekly gathering Sunday Sunday, which is now expanding globally.

Blending elements of house, italo, and 2000s electroclash, Vera has previously released edits on the local label Magic Dolphin Club. In 2024, he took a major step forward with the release of his debut EP, Quina, on Permanent Vacation.

We genuinely hope you embrace and enjoy this extraordinary musical journey.
