As a mother of two and winner of the world's most grueling trail run, the 450km Tor des Glaciers in 2019, Anouk runs to explore the world. Anouk shared her brave journey of digging deep to find the courage to become a world-class trail runner in four years. Anouk shared her story at our very first #FounderNation Bureau session, which was held at our offices and focused on the theme of COURAGE. 

#FounderNation is a movement calling on womxn founders and entrepreneurs of early-stage and medium-sized starters of our next great South African businesses, as well as womxn in business, to gather together and support each other on our entrepreneurial and career journeys. #FounderNation looks to gather womxn together to break bread, share stories, get excited, receive support through mentorship & encouragement, build new networks, analyse economic and industry issues and trends and most importantly, to get inspired by each other. Founded by Sarah-Jane Boden, we kicked off our first event in February 2019 by gathering together over 70 founders and business womxn from the communications, marketing, digital and advertising industry and their friends.  As an industry that is still highly under-represented with womxn founders and leaders and slow to drive transformation and inclusion, we started with this sector - however womxn from a variety of industries attend our events. We went on to hold two more sessions, in June and November, which were fully booked and lots of fun. We hope to hold four events a year, including our #FounderNation Bureau Sessions which are more intimate sessions held in our working space.

On a mission to democratise healthcare, Dr Nthabiseng Legoete bravely brings private healthcare to townships with clinics already operational in Alexandra and Diepsloot in Johannesburg, South Africa, with more to come. Nthabi shared her highly relatable and admirable entrepreneurial story at our very first #FounderNation Bureau session, which was held at our offices and focused on the theme of COURAGE.
