Semi Sense - Fast Days [preview]

Following his previous release on IM:LTD, Pennygiles has kept himself mad busy over the past year both in and out the studio while pumping iron and shaping up for the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ championship.
In order the put all the odds in our corner, we took Dutch shady trainer Nymfo aboard to come up with a pumped up steroidal version of ‘Stories Untold’ while the B side sees the return of the infamous French nutritionist Redeyes sparring with the Welsh ogre for a carb free dubby liquid track called ‘Wavering Lines’.
In addition, our good doctors Arkaik and Robustus have cooked up the perfect digital complement shakes for our tight panted hero, proving, once again, IM:LTD’s ability to come up with some of the juiciest Drum & Bass music around.

Pienių Matas is an alter ego for ½ of beloved brothers duo Deserted Island. Refreshing breaks and positive melancholy is what makes this EP so special to release on Skalbiankė. We’re always aiming for quality vibes and Matas manages to deliver on every occasion he gets a chance to.

Chauffeur is his fresh work. It appears as an invitation for a ride where he allows us to listen to his explorations through new sounds and rhythms. Novatory and sentimental, he clashed those two opposites and made it to one superb piece.

After Eddy Merckx the next best and fastest thing to emerge out of the Belgium regions is probably the Little Fingers EP featuring a heap of upcoming producers such as Sikey, Bredren, Phase and Satl. 

Sikey's remix of ''Fading Away by Limits'' provides us with blissfull dancefloor liquid while Bredren dive in deeper with ''In Arms''. Rounding off the EP we find d&b wunderchild Phase teaming up with Fokuz regular Satl on the EP's title track.

Compilations don't get much bigger than this; across two high energy mixes we’ve brought in sterling submissions from our ever-growing roster of talent, strong highlights from the last twelve months and most importantly shiny diamond cuts to look out for in 2017. Find 20 brand new tracks from key players such as S.P.Y, Logistics and Anile, and an exclusive Metrik and Fred V & Grafix collaboration. Soul:Motion & Colossus  - I Remember (Ft. Elise McCulloch)

Catapulting themselves into 2017, young production pair In:Most are making waves across the Drum & Bass scene. Based on opposite sides of the globe, Josh Croft (Cambridge) & Bailey Greer (Brisbane) are living proof that music knows no bounds. Having worked together since early 2012, yet only announcing it officially in 2015, the duo are pushing out some solid material. Namely their ‘Cloudfish EP’ out on Silent Audio, and the ‘Pictures In My Mind EP’ on Goldfat. Fresh from collaborating with the likes of Logistics on ‘Sheung Wan’, the pair now offer up , a 3-track slice of soul on our own young Soulvent Records imprint.

Opener ‘I Know’ eases in smooth pianos shaded with atmospheric padding, flanked by rhythmic clicks and sweeps. All backed up with a beefy drum break and a churning bassline, this sort of silky-smooth roller is fast becoming In:Most’s calling card.

’Changes’ kicks off with a purely positive, jazz-tinged energy. We’re talking feel-good sparkles, pizzicato strings and glossy toplines. Coupled with a screw-face bass and innovative vocal chops, it’s a prime example of their nostalgic yet forward-thinking sound. 

To round off the cut, their ’I Can’t Do VIP’ runs a more than welcome half-time reimagining of the original from last years’ Soul Sessions Vol. 2. With its playful, plucky arpeggiated synth, lustrously soft pads and rumbling, warm low-end, there’s more than an enough to reinvigorate the original release: our first offering from the duo, not even half a year old! 

With an impressive string of releases in only 5 months, these are two producers who show no signs of slowing down over the course of the year.
