Emeralds - Does It Look Like I'm Here? (Daphni Mix 2)

Paul White's latest album 'Rejuvenate' came out earlier this year on R&S Records. As the title suggests, it marked something of a rebirth for the South London artist. Best known until now as a producer for the likes of Danny Brown, White played and produced all of the music on 'Rejuvenate' himself, abandoning his supreme sampling skills in the process.

Two of the highlights came in the form of collaborations with Zimbabwean musician and poet Shungudzo. One of those, 'Ice Cream Man', has now been remixed by production duo Gum & Ginoli. Their hugely impressive effort repurposes the track as a psychedelic dancefloor odyssey, with a nod to Gum aka Jay Watson's work as a member of Aussie bands Tame Impala and Pond.

Maft Sai is the man behind the ZudRangMa Records label and a record store, which opened in 2007, specialise in the vintage sounds of Thailand, alongside music from South East Asia, Africa, Caribbean and the world. His pioneering work can be heard on his popular Zudrangma releases of vintage Thai compilations, new recording albums of bands under the label to dj mixtape, as well at his live "Paradise Bangkok", "Isan Dancehall" and "United Sounds of Asia" dj showcases.

This track is believed to be an unreleased Soulwax production sneaked into "Jack In The Box", their mix of old school Chicago House records from Radio Soulwax project.
"Ess & Dee" most probably stands for Stephen and David [Dewaele]. Cover image is based upon Housetime Records label design, and there's no release with "HT 1009" as catalogue number, even though C. Chudzik and B. Revo are real people.
