Solo il Sole

Der Song ist im verregneten Sommerurlaub in Norddeutschland bei der Lektüre des Romans von Philip Kerr Metropolis aus der Bernie Gunther-Reihe entstanden. Motive des Romans und des Films von Fritz Lang sowie die Atmosphäre Berlins in den späten 1920er Jahren sind in die Gestaltung des Songs eingeflossen./The song was written on a rainy summer vacation in northern Germany while reading Philip Kerr's novel "Metropolis" from the Bernie Gunther series. Themes from the novel and the Fritz Lang film, as well as the atmosphere of Berlin in the late 1920s, influenced the song's composition.

The Metropolis Project
