bio:
started making electronic music 2004, since i started exploring the electronic music world there is nothing else that interests me. I started with classical house, and later with minimal house and a little bit minimal techno. but i never could identify with these scenes, so i slowly drifted deeper in to dub techno. i never felt that feelings in a genre before. it´s like once you are in dub techno, you never get out. i´m very proud to become a part of this very underrated scene. and i hope it will make me this fun for a long time. i also met the nicest people in the dub techno scene. what i want to do is, make people floating away and forget there problems.

With Echocord Colour, he also opens its covering area to some other techno spaces. With over 100 EPs and LPs, he has contributed to many artists careers such as XDB, Jor-el, Deadbeat, Luke Hess, Brendon Moeller, Fluxion, Stephen Brown, Resoe, Mike Dehnert, Skudge and some more.

As with all of my mixes, but perhaps more so than any other... this one is a deep bastard - I'm talking "it would take 2 hours for a big fucking ship to strike the basin" deep.

A selection of older and newer material from the great ocean of techno. Opening with some glowing, deep and melodic sounds, we traverse through the razor sharp sonics of Quantec (a track from his new album, <a href="http://www.discogs.com/Quantec-1000-Vacuum-Tubes/release/3644316" target="_blank">1000 Vacuum Tubes</a>) and the minimal mystique of Grad_U to some blissed out and sublime electronic dub tracks including a classic cut from Rhythm & Sound.

A sequence of zoned-out atmospheric tech house brings this mix home with some very special new tracks on some of my favourite labels, including Telrae, Illian Tape and Echocord before we close up with an absolutely timeless track, "Evil Dub" taken from Swayzak's 1998 classic <a href="http://www.discogs.com/Swayzak-Snowboarding-In-Argentina/master/64157" target="_blank">Snowboarding In Argentina LP</a>.

Concentration, Capture, Release.

This sequence forms the basis of Van Bonn’s sound. He applies an obsessive focus on detail, enabling him to establish the various layers in the track that create a unique depth to his music.

Based in Berlin and Copenhagen, the producer and DJ Reimut van Bonn is already gaining valuable recognition for his dub techno releases – with his contributions for labels such as Telrae & Brouqade, his remixes for Trapez, and other work for labels such as Traum resonating in headphones and on dancefloors since 2011.

Van Bonn’s instinctive feeling for sound and timing is inherent in every of his dub influenced techno tracks. The wide open temporal tier allows the listener to dive deeply into the different layers and explore for themselves. Mighty kickdrums, subsonic basses and the trademark chords of Van Bonn drive his tracks forward. The development of rich soundscapes is an integral part of his musical creativity. It provides a basis for his sweeping DJ sets to absorb the dancer and transport them into a world far distinct from reality. The relaxation felt in Van Bonn’s smooth tunes highlights the liquid flow of his music. This is occasionally contrasted with the harder, more ecstatic dub techno tracks – a combination that inevitably creates tension. His distinct characteristics define him to be a versatile and impressive artist with the potential to find his way into the inner circle of Techno.

During the first quarter of 2013 the specifically founded label ‘Van Bonn’ will be born and will release Van Bonn’s future music.

I started producing electronic music in the year 2000 after few years playing the trumpet in a Band. In the earlier years i often switched my style from trance, progressive psytrance, minimal, techno, house, to my style. A mix between dub techno, deep house, minimal and progressive. As well i like dubstep wich i perform with another project called Infra Wave.

Influences are coming from jam sessions with the hardware gear (elektron machinedrum, elektron monoachine, access virus kb,...) and several producers out there

With this mix i wanna share the feeling from a day at the beach when a storm comes up. 
the wind (heard as delays) build up big waves wich brakes on the beach with massive spashes and thunder sounds.
 
stormy sounds, washed out delays, shimmering verbs and dubby techno is what you find in here. can you feel the sand and foam in your face?
