Eternal Love are an Italian duo quietly making waves. They are about to release their second single on Music From Memory's Second Circle label and pull together the classic Italian sounds of Italo new wave, cosmic, tribal and afro through to 90s electronica but done with a modern take. A trusted source saw them play at the Living Room in NY recently and said 'they were just great. Like sweet 105bpm balearic business that you'd never heard before'. Which, lets be honest, sounds very much up our street. Enjoy the mix. It's super nice.

Known for Bronx Dogs and Padded Cell, his music has featured in GTA IV, HBO, and remixes for LCD Soundsystem and Bryan Ferry. His compilations This Ain’t Chicago and Dream The Dream earned major acclaim, the latter winning DJ Mag’s Best British Compilation of 2023.

Another precious historical moment from one of our favourite DJs - Zecky - someone we learned so much from, aesthetically, always making it feel so effortless. Today, on Zecky’s birthday,  we have the honour of sharing with you a previously unreleased recording originally recorded in circa 2005 generously offered by his friend Daisuke San. You can probably ID most of the mix by now, but this wouldn’t have been the case at the time, a time when this kind of music wasn’t building DJ careers in “the industry”, rowing upstream, following a deeper unexplainable passion immune to hype or peer pressure, just pure hearted love for music. Riding steady on his lane, pioneering a new found “Japalearic” sound of sorts. Words can’t fully characterise the aesthetic nuances behind Zecky’s aural narratives, all you can do is listen and imagine. A selection that shows a refreshing fascination for European and US disco sounds (that would have likely been picked up during his time in Italy), all beautifully put together with immaculate mixing skill, a friendly reminder of what was possible with a pitch fader before CDJs, pure dedication to the craft of DJing. 
Hail to another romantic storyteller that left this planet too soon. 
Thank you so much for letting us air this treasure.

私たちが最も敬愛するDJの一人、ゼッキーによる、またひとつの貴重な歴史的瞬間。
美意識の面でも多くを学ばせてくれた存在で、そのすべてがいつも驚くほど自然体でした。

本日、ゼッキーの誕生日にあたり、彼の友人である大輔さんのご厚意により、2005年に録音されながらこれまで未発表だった音源を、皆さんと共有できることを大変光栄に思います。
今となっては、このミックスの多くの曲をIDできるかもしれませんが、当時はそうではありませんでした。まだこの種の音楽が「業界」でDJとしてのキャリアを築くものではなかった時代。流れに逆らい、流行や周囲からのプレッシャーとは無縁の、説明のつかない深い情熱に突き動かされ、ただ純粋な音楽への愛だけを頼りに進んでいた頃です。

彼は自分のレーンをぶれることなく走り続け、新たな「ジャパレアリック」とも言えるサウンドを切り拓いていきました。
ゼッキーの音の物語に込められた美学的なニュアンスは、言葉だけでは到底語り尽くせません。できることは、ただ聴き、想像することだけ。

このセレクションからは、ヨーロッパやUSのディスコサウンドへの瑞々しい探究心が感じられます（おそらくイタリア滞在時に培われたものでしょう）。それらが、完璧なミキシング技術によって美しく編み上げられています。CDJ以前、ピッチフェーダーだけでどれほどのことが可能だったのかを思い出させてくれる、DJというクラフトへの純粋な献身の証です。

あまりにも早くこの世を去ってしまった、もう一人のロマンティックな語り部に敬意を。
この宝物をオンエアさせてくれて、本当にありがとうございます。
