For us, Norm is the ultimate definition of a selector, and many in the community will agree. Needless to say, we were incredibly excited when he joined TNP as a resident. His new show “Faking Jazz Together” is an excellent addition to his other projects, which include(d) Memorabilia, Bayetë and Native Dance.

Norm’s ability to unearth the warmest, sweetest and deepest sounds is unprecedented. The first installment of his residency stole our hearts: a jaw dropping, incredible selection of lush music that we didn’t know we needed to hear. We recommend you to listen to this one eyes closed, shoes off, laying in the sun.

This is my fantasized outtake of what could have been a local fusion jazz program back then. It features biting AOR, hazy Chanson, fierce Boogie, Japanese Bossa impersonation and wistful Italian score.”

Hailing from Athens, @hara_katsiki brings a sophisticated sonic palette and perceptive ear to dance floors. Effortlessly sweeping you into the astral, Katsiki entwines her compelling cosmic selections with Italo, Cosmic Disco, Indie-Dance, New Beat, Techno, Synth-Wave and infatuating rarities. She is a member of the Berlin-based label Wrong Era Records, a sub-label from Slow Motion Records and a dependable force within Berlin’s revered scene, which she now calls home.  With regular slots at the formidable likes of Panorama bar, Renate, About Blank and KitKat Club, she is a strong figure within the nocturnal city and parties across the globe.
Hara is carrying – besides her extrasensory abilities – a Universal understanding about music and like a modern shaman, she is weaving a thread between sound and space-time creating a metagalactic cosmos, bringing a sophisticated sonic palette and perceptive ear to dancefloors.
With an impressive, multi-disciplinary past within the creative industries, the former model, stylist and art director channels her abundant passion into intuitive, sensational mixes. Wellll shiiiiiiiiit, look here, motherfucking Mosam Howieson is in the building. About time, you say? Yes, you’d be right to ask, but you’re asking the wrong question, more like, what is time? Don’t stress, it’s merely a measuring device that the entire human civilisation revolves around. Anyway, Mos is here to teach you a thing or two about time and what you can do with it. 

I’ve been lucky enough to know Mos for many years. A true gentleman in the game, forever polite and tremendously respectful. A man of many talents, and most revolve around providing for the people. A culinary cowboy by day and dance floor destroyer by night, his exceptional work ethic shining through in both forms. Mos’ production has slowly but surely infiltrated ears across the globe, labels worldwide have been picking up what Mos has been putting down, and we’re better off for it. Mos' live performances are a full-body experience, from ground-breaking ambient soundscapes to rafter-breaking post-primitive drum loops, something to add to that bucket list of yours, whilst waiting patiently for his new album coming out later this year.  For those of you that don’t know Mos, this is the perfect place to start. 

Following with the theme of time, I think Mos has completely encapsulated his existence on this earth through this mix. You can hear him in his different stages of life and all the soundtracks that came with it. From hovering over a tape deck recording tracks straight from the radio, getting up early watching video hits, burning CDs on friend's computers, weeklong mp3 downloads from lime wire riddled with viruses on the family computer, all the way up to the first-time he downloaded fruity loops and set himself on this path, it’s all here and we’ve been invited along for the ride. All of this music holds such a special place in my heart as I was on a parallel path of musical enlightenment (except my productions never made it past a 4x4 loop on a cracked version of fruity loops) a musical diary if you will, filled with ideas, aspirations, and heartache, complete with dogged ears, doodles and torn out pages. On behalf of the people listening, thank you Mos.

@Jeepsooni is a rising DJ in Korea’s underground music scene. Her sound is rooted in disco but spans many genres. Mixing italo-disco, salsa, French pop, and jazz with house and disco to create energetic sets that resonate with diverse audiences. She organizes and directs Cha Cha Mambo, a party held at Itaewon’s Nyapi Club, where she introduces fresh musical direction to the local scene. At Cha Cha Mambo, Jeepsooni highlights emerging DJs, showcasing unique sounds that differ from mainstream trends, with an emphasis on high-energy disco.

Aradea Barandana, widely known as Dea, began his DJ career in high school, spinning records as background music for a breakdance crew. What started as a casual exploration of rhythm soon blossomed into a passion for building community through music. Dea launched his own club night in Jakarta, where his eclectic taste began to take shape.
While studying in London, Dea delved deep into the world of underground and obscure cosmic sounds, honing a style that defies strict categorization. His sets are a rich tapestry of exotic psychedelia, infused with electronic grooves that transcend traditional genre boundaries.
Dea has released numerous records under his own name and as part of projects like Precious Bloom and Zatua. His collaborations span diverse fields, from co-creating a short film soundtrack with DJ Harvey to contributing to albums by A Mountain of One and Ricardo Villalobos. He also made waves with an EP released on Peggy Gou’s Gudu Records.
Looking ahead, Dea is set to release his highly anticipated solo album on Rush Hour Records in summer 2025, a testament to his ever- evolving artistry and deep connection to the global music scene.

Through The Trees - 16.03.25

Dea Barandana is an artist we are thrilled to see make the step from his local scene towards the international circuit. Originally from Jakarta, where he started out mixing records for a local breakdance crew, he was eventually throwing warehouse parties before ending up one island further, on Bali, where he’s a familiar face at Potato Head Beach Club and Studio Eksotika.

This mix he did for us lays out his talent for weaving together unfound rarities from then and now, connecting dots between different musical tropes of the Asian diaspora. The result is a meandering journey across forgotten recordstores and dusty crates, reminiscent of island life and the smell of kretek, to modern club music and back. 

Starting off like a warm breeze, the mix quickly gears up to grooving disco and bright Asian synthpop. Further down the 100-minute trip, the journey spirals from its effervescent moods down into darker, more spiritual affairs, with compelling percussion and sturdier basslines — just before locking down with laidback, dreamlike endnote to seal it off.
