POUTCAST #24: Cinthie

For Daniel Leseman & Junktion (Hans Peeman), successful producers on their own merits and friends since childhood, a collaboration was inevitable. The success of it of course never is, but their house sound infused with disco and a lot funk has been proven to be very infectious.

After the infamous Detroit Swindle signed them to their Heist imprint and released the booming Kill Frenzy EP their name was established firmly to quick growing broader audience. Resulting in request for Dj-sets across Europe & the America’s, with personals highlights on Glastonbury, LoveBox and Output New York.

Their first vinyl release as Fouk, on their own created Outplay Records was met with great enthusiasm, the brilliant reactions to ‘Stuff Your Dad Liked’ and ‘Cat Lady’ propelled Fouk and Outplay firmly into the scene as the ‘one to watch’. Following swiftly on, they produced a formidable remix for Lay-Far on the Swedish Local Talk Records. Comme son nom l’indique « ORIGIN » a pour but de créer des événements musicaux qui explorent les origines au sens large de la musique électronique autour de thèmes tel que l’origine de la house, de la techno, mais aussi des artistes originels et des labels qui font et défont les modes depuis les débuts jusqu’a aujourd’hui.

Né d’une rencontre entre différents acteurs et promoteurs de la scène électronique Parisienne et Montpelliéraine, ce projet s’inscrit avant tout dans les murs de cette warehouse (Le Dieze) unique et atypique réaménagée pour recevoir un large public dans la ville même de Montpellier.

Un label verra le jour en 2016. Il ne produira que du vinyle pressé en quantité limités.

As its name implies, “ORIGIN” aims at creating musical events that explore the origins in the broad sense of electronic music, around themes such as the origin of House and of techno music but also of the original artists and labels that have been making and breaking musical trends from the beginnings.

Born out of a meeting between various actors and promoters of the Paris and Montpellier electronic music scenes, this project is primarily thought within the walls of this unique and atypical factory (Le Dieze) redesigned to welcome a large audience right in the city of Montpellier.

A label will be launched in 2016. Only vinyl records will be produced and pressed in limited quantities.
