VVV - Arrival

A natural continuation of TOM MIDDLETON’s career-long exploration of sound, soul, space and bass, it is about bringing the spirit of his original Sound of the Cosmos compilation into the current moment, and connecting with the artists who share the vision. 

The rebirth began with a ragingly succesful SOTC tent at Big Chill 2011, put together by Tom with friends Richie Rundle and Joe Muggs. The 1000 capacity tent stayed packed and vibing for the full weekend with the likes of Cooly G, Boddika, Zed Bias, Swindle, Synkro, Geiom, Ben UFO, Pangaea and Lorca traversing tempos and rhythms but all somehow locking into a shared aesthetic. All of this made it eminently clear to Tom, Richie and Joe that SOTC could grow beyond this one event, still accommodating such diversity of talent and meeting the demands of the dancefloor without sacrificing depth and exploratory musicality. More stages and gigs followed, including a glorious Dimensions 2012 with our friends Visionist, Lorca, Blacksmif, Djrum, J Sparrow, Ruckspin, Lando Kal and more.
 
The SOTC label launches this year with a series of multi-artist EPs, featuring all-exclusive tracks from some of the biggest names in the underground right now and some incredible new talent; the first featuring a monumental collaboration between Silkie, Distal and Mite which is already destroying clubs worldwide, plus tracks from VVV, Jabru, Sapience and Forgold. Following releases will feature Geiom, Blacksmif, Universal Solution, Primitive Eskimo and no less than Dick Mills and Paddy Kingsland of the Radiophonic Workshop!
