Kin Teal is an alias of Budapest based producer Balint Haller, making organic and tactile music that’s rooted in club culture. Kin Teal is a new project, meant to express the contrast and connection between nature and humanity, and juxtapose natural textures with machine-made ones. There’s also a strong visual identity attached to the music, as a result of Balint’s interest in creative coding and emulating natural processes through code.

Producer and DJ @frontbench is most commonly spotted behind the scenes of @musicby199, which he set up in 2019 to give him and his friends a place to release music, and a chance to play in clubs. In the years that followed, he used the platform to showcase a broad range of his own productions, varying between club bangers and melodic home listens, and earning features in Mixmag, Trommel and Houseum.

Now, with a residency on London-based Aaja Radio and a thriving digital release series both in full swing, Front Bench is dialling in on a refined club sound. Hinging on an electro-tinged take on techno and breaks, he pulls together sounds old and new across dense, rolling sets that combine atmosphere and groove.

His primary goal is to build a feeling that resonates within diasporic realities in the club scene. For this mix, the Proper Pull co-founder has attempted to create a faster dancefloor focused therapeutic workout, searching for an often overlooked middle ground between seemingly contradictory emotions such as happiness and sadness, anger and serenity, or fear and curiosity. Gaea's Good Grace is a two-tracker heavily relying on rhythmic percussion and deeper vibrations, bringing us into a meditative dance state. With previous releases on W133 and Loch Inn, and having played at Amsterdam's legendary club De School's closing, samwho has fully established himself as an undeniable talent in the Dutch dance music scene. Raised on a healthy diet of Reggae and Dub, Rotterdam’s samwho knows a thing or two about rhythm and bass. With these two fundamentals, he produces futuristic club tracks.

Ages ago Break Mode made this laid back edit of Cocteau Twins beauty “Pink Orange Red” for his Cafe del Gumar DJ sets and mixes. Although it eventually surfaced online, it was never meant for widespread sharing. However, due to growing interest, Gumar gave the track a light remaster, and now it proudly joins our Edit Factory series.
