Catching Flies - real name George King - returns with his new single ‘GLY,’ a slice of uplifting, sophisticated dance music that sits in the sweet spot between dancefloor and headphones. It’s highly textured, deeply melodic and effortlessly marries live instrumentation (guitars, harps, a string quartet) with warm electronic beats. A remix package of the single will follow in May 2021 with remixes from British dance-pop stalwarts Hot Chip and Ninja Tune’s DJ Boring.

‘GLY’ marks Catching Flies’ first artist release since his critically acclaimed 2019 debut album ‘Silver Linings.’ Future Music described it as “A brilliantly eclectic record…a moving journey that will last long in the memory”, Clash Magazine praised the LP’s “killer beats” and “artfully orchestrated introspection”, whilst London In Stereo mentioned it’s “exceptional production”. Other press coverage for the album included The Guardian, Complex, Nowness, i-D Magazine, Dazed & Confused, Electronic Sound and The Line of Best Fit. Artist support for ‘Silver Linings’ came from the likes of Bonobo, Jungle, Loyle Carner, George Fitzgerald and Lane 8. He toured the album performing sold out headline Live shows throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and North America, as well as DJ shows at Bonobo’s ‘OUTLIER’ event in the US. Catching Flies also does soundtrack work for film and video games, and has recently been nominated for a BAFTA.

London-based musician James Stanley aka LEGATO releases his new single, ‘So Close’ on Eton Messy Records. His music lends itself best to the world of Balearic house, focusing on the power of evoking
emotion and feeling through sound. His debut release 'Smile When The Sun Is Shining' was supported most notably by Disclosure in their set for Cercle and The Blessed Madonna on BBC Radio 1.
For ‘So Close’, LEGATO offers up an impassioned house heater, with rich piano chords and ethereal vocal snippets that glide above crunching percussion and deep kick grooves, encapsulating an emotional tone whilst still delivering a powerful club-focused record.
Having recently been signed to Lee Burridge's seminal label All Day I Dream and with further releases forthcoming on Eton Messy.

Whilst working on the tracks for this EP I often imagined them going in many musical directions. 'Together' always felt as though it could be a big club track with a few tweaks in the arrangement so I did exactly that. At 8 minutes long it takes a little patience, but hopefully the track will take you on a little journey that'll have you shuffling down the street.
