PREMIERE: Chinichi - Cold Hearted Reese [FU.ME rec]

We are more than delighted to welcome Martini to W133. After appearances on Kindergarten Records and Early Reflex, the NYC-based producer delivers three uniquely well-crafted originals for the Berlin imprint.

Kicking off the EP on A1 is "Liquorice." The track starts with captivating ambient sounds and playfully develops into a breaky tribal adventure, paving the way for the EP title-giving track that is "Aqua Pura." You can feel the power of crystal-clear water bursting through your speakers, and tension building while the track develops. Mechanical noises and sci-fi sounds decorate the bass-heavy yet also playful baseline. On A3, the third and last original track, "Lounge Lizard," creeps into your ears very subtly and sneakily. High foreign-sounding arpeggiated melodies twirl around your head, and you get lost in the sound when suddenly a high-energy switch drops in and makes you want to move your reptile extremities.
Moving on to the B-Side, you can find 2 remixes. The first one by label-papa-pino is a driving housy interpretation of „Lounge Lizard“ with that special tribal touch he is known for but keeping the unique melodies from the original. 
On B2, also NYC-based Palitra presents his version of „Liquorice“, a slower and very thought-through piece that keeps you dreaming until it fades out.

The EP will be available as a limited 25-copy dubplate run as well as digitally. The vinyl comes in fully printed cover sleeves with analogue photography by Freya Gerz.

For his second EP, R.2614 continues to deepen his universe with 4 tracks complemented by 2 remixes by Bias and STUPR.

The first track, 'Illusion', plunges us into a dark atmosphere, depicted by a heavy, EBM-influenced rhythm section, aggressive acid synths and ghostly, authoritative vocals. 'Élévation' then comes with a higher tempo as well as a lighter atmosphere: gravity diminishes and we're lifted by the pads and sci-fi synths of this resolutely techno DJ tool. The ascent continues with 'Destination', a track with a steady rhythm and a soaring aura, ideal for filling the dancefloor with love and tenderness. Finally, 'Prédiction' takes us back into an obscure climate, consolidated by a heady bass and distant nightmarish wails, with a mysterious and disturbing prophetic voice.

The first remix, by Bias, offers us a revisited version of 'Élévation', which is marked by lush sound design and a complex rhythmic pattern. To close the EP, STUPR offers us a remix of the same track tinged with UK techno influences, with a consistent breakbeat and rolling bassline.

Phone free event series Savour The Moment starts its own label, dedicated to unknown artists only.

After successfully running events at Berlins infamous Wilde Renate for almost two years the crew behind Savour The Moment is expanding their project.

The first instalment comes from Fufi.SNC, one third behind the SNC crew. Marlon Hoffstadt met the boys a few years ago in Suxul and has been keeping an eye on them ever since.

The release is out January 24th and will be celebrated at Savour The Moments first 2020 event at Wilde Renate on January 11th with an exclusive live set by Fufi.
