She stared at the screen, her eye sight waning from its harsh glare. Attempting to tear herself away had been an impossible task, she couldn't switch off her thoughts, they continued to race at warp speed giving her no respite at all. She'd tried putting them down on paper, even toyed with the idea of sealing them in a letter and posting it through his door, but the fear of rejection was too much. How had she got herself in this deep? She'd only met him just a few weeks prior, how had she become completely and utterly hooked...

Barkley Bandon is creeping out of the shadows once again, this time for his sophomore EP Heaven Was A Failure. The illusive London-based producer first popped up on our radar through his Bandcamp self-releases, then again when his debut EP Always Gonna Wait For You landed in our inbox last year. On this brand new release for South London party-turned-label Scenic Route, he explores themes of desire and intimacy through his sleazy, stripped back cocktail of tripped out rhythms, infectious pop melodies and hypnotic bass grooves.

Label heads So.undso return once again on the Munich imprint Dance Petrol Records with their latest EP "Alte Spuren“! The EP features four original tracks, resulting from their latest experiments with elements from breakbeat, electronica, acid, electro and house.
The lead track „Gruppentour“ sets the tone for the EP with its driving breakbeat rhythms, infectious synth melodies, and expertly crafted transitions. From the upbeat and energetic "Gruppentour," to the moody and introspective „Stromabwärts“ continues the journey with its pulsing basslines, haunting vocals, and intricate percussion, creating a dark and brooding atmosphere, spiked with broken rhythms.
The second half of the EP starts of with the experimental and unpredictable "Alte Spuren und ungeahnte Schwierigkeiten“ diving into a more experimental approach, incorporating elements of acid and glitch into its ever-evolving soundscape. Slow-burning and hypnotic "Gedränge vor der Fähre“ closes of So.undso latest experiments in the fields of electronic music with slow and moody grooves, laced with haunting vocals and atmospheric pads. Another volume of ‘Lucyna Tape’ series highlighting the embodied vision. This time, we’re portraying a tale by the ones who witnessed the mystical aura surrounding the day-stage at Lucyna 2022 festival. The stage was called ‘Przebudzenie’ - a polish word for ‘awakening’ and was all about the sonic narrative inspired by the lusty meadows from the lands.


On the sun side, Father And Son Records and Tapes' label head-honcho and one of the first polish DJs Maciek Sienkiewicz and mysterious @ys with a tender lookout at the frosty windows, Freux magnetic attraction for the untroubled soul archipelago. Katalpia’s flowers ready to bud steadily alongside Bory-Tucholskie-based producer Lowhitey . Breslau’s finest Dj Duch with a concrete balearic sketch ballade, a whispering recollection of memories by Mniej Niż Trzy (Madikoptah & fopa duo) and the aquatic experimental echo from Poznan-based TTT+ (aka TBH)


On the moon side, Dj Grzyb’s DMT-trip shaped by free-form delusions, Ivan Bayor’’s odd-ball acoustic chuggin’ ode to the dawn creatures, followed by a passage to the mentally wide planet Blu Terra (aka Newborn Jr.) for an adventurous encounter reminiscing the glory days of night slugs, astronomical dreaming sessions with Lotus Reaction . Personal Sauveur’s poetic, dubby and painful truth, whale spirits whistling secret symphonies to KCN lug holes and last but not least, Pejzaż’s expanding soundscape filled with timeless relics and echoes.


As Lucyna, we’re proud to curate and present to you the hidden gems of various generations of Polish subterranean club scene in a very contemplative locus. We give you this tape as a symbol of appreciation and respect for our local scene and community - shout out to you.
