5 years of hard work in our East London studio, it's time for Burnin Music and his protagonists to celebrate with style.

We decided to contact all the artists that we came across in 5 years, whether they released on the label or not, and asked them for demos!

The quality of stuff we received was so brilliant that we moved from releasing a digital-only compilation to a vinyl record!

We are super pleased to introduce you to 8 tracks by 8 brilliant producers hailing from Tel Avi, Paris, London, Leipzig and Munich.

8 man, 8 definitions of electronic music but 1 common sound, Burnin Music.

To compliment the music we asked Theo Cerri, a talented Italian artist living in Edinburg, to design the cover.

We hope you enjoy the music as much as we had fun to put together that project.

"It all started as we took our 1 year old son for a little family outing to our local, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. As we sat down to watch the afternoon ‘Aboriginal Culture Show’, I decided to field record the performance. Straight away I was blown away by Luthers’ rich and soulful voice. Luther is a proud Yugambeh man, who strives to bond all Australians through song, dance and art. “The Aboriginal culture – the histories, the stories – they belong to this land and so if you are Australian, they belong to you too”, he says.

A few weeks later ‘Jingeri’ (meaning “welcome”) was made through the alchemy of Luthers’ samples and my hardware. I then approached Luther to show him ‘Jingeri’ and to see if he would be interested in collaborating. I was delighted when I could see his enthusiasm for the project and we locked in a studio session. From what was a short, but super productive 2hr session, birthed ‘Nunya’, the second track on the EP. The traditional Yugambeh lyrics “Nunya mulla, nunya bayami” mean “Thanks creator, thanks to those around me”.

The EP titled ‘Jingeri’ was done, all that was left was the artwork and who better to visually represent this body of work than Luther himself. He designed this traditional artwork, which he calls ‘3 Brothers’. In Luthers’ words, “3 Brothers represents me, my 2 brothers, our families and our continuing connection to country and culture”.

I have been a massive fan of the Beats of No Nation family for a long time and when I heard they wanted to release this EP I was delighted. I want to thank Luther for all of his time and contributions to these tracks. I am so happy to have made a new friend and collaborator and am super inspired for what the future holds musically." Fata Morgana’s concept draws from @ispirian's live sets in the USA. Then, back in Europe, Vasco refined his performance and the live takes were finally mixed and mastered in Madrid. The project sees the light in 2023, after the global impasse the world went through, as a two EP installment: Fata Morgana I & II.

Like a complex optical illusion perceived as a banner over the sea horizon, where sight is significantly distorted and changes rapidly, unlike any other ordinary mirage, a true Fata Morgana comprises several inverted and steepled illusions, stacked on one another, showing alternating compressed and stretched sonic lands.

The term named after the Mistress of the Fairies of the Salt Sea, King Arthur's half-sister Morgan le Fay, encapsulates the hallucinatory prowess of the seduction myth, a symbol of incantation and sensorial catharsis among the pleasure and the pain meanders.
