Asquith, Catswith or just Jimmy. A man you'll no doubt be familiar with through his diligent service to your favourite sonic seafood supper, Lobster Theremin. Alas, the mans talents span beyond the required acumen to build and sustain such an industry stronghold. Those of you in the know will be aware of his musical ability through the more ambient alias Tom Hang and the warehouse dance-floor ready, Chicago Floatation Device. However, of late, Jimmy has been littering the sonisphere with strictly bangers for our enjoyment via his actual name alias, Asquith.

This one is called 'Hot Hot' - a certified floor weapon which skirts the border of being club tool, yet holding the esteem of a full bodied banger.  A devastating bottom end is amalgamated with glitched percussion which - along with the near percussive vocal stabs - violently slice and slash through the mix. Put it this way, you're not listening to this in the car with your mum but bring her to the club and listen to it there?

PREMIERE: Helter - Never [Monoground]

Today we've got the track "ISS" from Wilt's upcoming Running EP via the boutique French label, Thé Chaud Records. The track is all smooth pads, sturdy drums, and a gently throbbing bass line until about two minutes in when it switches gear into some serious acid knob twisting. It's built for the floor and it does it's job well. Available January 11th.

Mr. Sosa has been delivering some serious lo-fi catalogue lately and ‘Tropic Daze’ is certainly a sweet addition to the list. If i had to sell you on Tropic Daze i’d describe the way the track emerges from its own embryonic fluid into a swirl of xanax acid bassline, I’d tell you about the chalkboard scratching open hit hats, and scuzzy echoing subliminal vocals - but just for a moment, like a weird cross-connection call, before settling into a playful swim on the surface of a sunset lit pool of nostalgic retro vibes. If I had to, that’s what id describe ..but you’ve got ears and decent enough taste, so maybe better to just let you figure it out for yourself.
