‘Fire and Stardom’ — the new two-track EP from Antic - Release date July 17th 

‘Fire and Stardom’ EP is a vivid return to the dancefloor displaying an array of energy and colour, from techno to disco, from brooding to hope-filled, from dark-room to sun-drenched.

The first track ‘Fire’ twists and turns between tension and release. Blending techno elements together with moments of synth pop. All-driven by a hypnotic, direct and power-laden groove.

The second track ´Stardom´is a burst of dry-humour and . With a wonderfully playful vocal by Zena Kitt, it plays with ideas of vanity and vulnerability. It weaves together soul and disco chords into frenzied loops that burst, fizz and then fall. All pushed along by a driving house beat. 

These two tracks are just the start of an exciting new journey for Antic — one packed with colour, optimism, and the unmistakable mark of musical maturity.

"Hardwired" draws its conceptual foundation from synthesizer terminology. As JakoJako explains: "A hardwired synth has connections already soldered into the machine—it comes with certain functions without needing to patch cables externally. As a hardware producer, I feel whenever I meet someone who creates music as I do, we have this immediate connection, like a hardwired synthesizer. There's no need for small talk—we can speak about gear."

Emerging from the pulse of D.C.’s underground, Fasika delivers a stripped-back yet infectious statement with the House Rules EP, due July 18, 2025 via Bona Fide House Records. Across four tightly coiled tracks, the EP channels the raw physicality of classic East Coast House with a distinct swagger, nodding to the bumpy rhythms and dancefloor kinetics that define Fasika’s growing footprint.

The title cut, House Rules, appears in two forms: the Original Mix leans into syncopated percussion and stabbed basslines, perfect for peak-time pressure, while the Basement Mix dials things down with a deeper, sweat-soaked groove that speaks to late-night heads. On B-Boy Cypher, Fasika taps into a swing-heavy template that feels tailor-made for crate diggers and body movers alike, funk-infused yet minimal, with crisp, no-nonsense drum programming. Closing track Amp’d Up is all tension and release, built around stuttering hi-hats and rugged low-end organ work.

True to its title, House Rules EP plays by its own code, minimal in construction, maximal in effect. It’s a confident outing from an artist rooted in the local scene but pushing beyond, offering DJs and dancers alike a functional yet characterful take on House Music.

We’re big fans here at Sprechen of Frederik Hendrik and have been hammering his release on HeSheThey and Pomme Fritte in many sets over the years which is what drive us to drop him a fax and see if he’d be up for gracing us with his presence on Sprechen. After nearly 3 years (in which time he hands built himself a garden studio!) we are please to welcome him to the fold with 2 absolute killer cuts on Andere Landen.

Het Spiraal is a turbo charged, head down stomper which packs bags of funk and dance floor groove into its 6 & half min run time. Deranged synths stab in & out with phased out melodies and enough space disco soundscapes to make Prins Thomas quake in his Norwegian slippers!

Title track Andere Landen is a touch of a deeper affair but still packing the jackin’ along with some wobbly synth sounds & Italo style vibes and an absolute slamming drop with a twisted vocal wrapping itself into your psyche. Not quite a peak time but a tune you’d drop peak time (if that makes sense!?)…another subtle banger that will hook ‘em in. HUGE.

Mexican label Duro Label is preparing for a new sonic journey with the return of one of its most cherished figures, Madrid's Álvaro Cabana. His new EP, "Indian Prototype", is an exploration of rhythms rooted in the wisdom of groove and the most influential sounds of the nineties and two thousands, without yielding an ounce to nostalgia.

Álvaro Cabana, an active figure in the Madrid electronic scene since the late '90s and owner of the Rotten City label (home to artists like Red Axes, Curses, Eden Burns, and DC Salas), delivers an EP that stands as a testament to his fidelity to his roots and his constant evolution.

The journey kicks off with "Proto", a track imbued with an early progressive essence. Deep basslines intertwine with expansive melodies and solid rhythms, creating psychedelic atmospheres that invite you into an introspective, mysterious, and energetic dance.

Following this is "Tipo", a subtle nod to Underworld. Here, acidic and resonant synthesizers take over the dancefloor, propelled by drums and rhythms designed to unleash euphoria. Lysergic vocals add a hypnotic layer, further immersing you in its danceable energy.

Finally, the EP culminates with "India In Us (UK Mix)", a powerful collaboration with his Argentine compadre residing in Bogotá, Julian Sanza (half of legendary projects like Silver City and 2020 Vision Soundsystem). This track is an ode to more "UK" and "two-thousands" sonorities, featuring booming basslines and frenetic melodies that invite total surrender on the dancefloor.

"Indian Prototype" is a statement of intent from Álvaro Cabana, a release crafted for DJs, diggers, and lovers of the rave sound.

"Ah si si" is a blend of EBM and italo disco, where taut grooves flirt with a bittersweet melancholy tinged with 80s hues. At once an invitation to dance and an introspective dive, the track plays with contrasts — between rhythmic tension and nostalgia.

The voice, sensual and slightly enigmatic, acts as a guiding thread: it ties the influences together, blurs the lines, and gives the whole piece a cohesion that makes it effortlessly ready for the dancefloor.
The italo disco elements are a deliberate nod to Camilliani’s Italian roots and his deep attachment to that musical culture.


Camilliani is no newcomer. In 2007, he made his debut with Pervert Teen, an electro EP released under the name Chairs on Backs, a duo with Yan Wagner on the Missive label. Two years later, he went solo with Fucking Day, a more radical techno EP under the alias Swaan, on Estrella Rec.

After a long hiatus, he returns under a new identity, Camilliani, and unveils Ah si si, his third project.

Mysterious Berlin imprint MASK preps its second release with four more untitled tracks this March.

Continuing the theme of the first release, ‘Noah’ has been produced and recorded live in one take using a selection of analogue gear, including an EMU SP 1200, Mutual Instruments Ambika, Nord Rack 2x, Octatrack, Vermona Action Filter 4.

A soothing synth line sets the tone of the ‘A1′ before implementing sporadic drums and squelchy notes, making way for the melodic chords and a wall of sub bass in the mesmerizing and otherworldly start to the enigmatic release.
