There truly is no place quite like the desert in Morocco, with its miles of sweeping sand dunes adorned with colorful carpets lining bedouin tents- it is a place I've always dreamt of playing. Having been inspired by its music and culture for many years, I was super excited when I was invited to come and share some music with the people of Morocco. Here is a set which I hope embodies my appreciation for the culture and the energy felt on this special night.

Peruvian musician @marcotegui began his musical journey in 2009, firstly making an impact in South America before graduating to the world stage. He is now based in Ibiza and was previously A&R at Berlin’s iconic Bar25 label as well as managing its sister imprint Sirin Music before starting his own DowntempoLove label. He has a magical live set that combines the same rich harmonies, hypnotic sounds and melodic synths as his productions on labels like Get Physical, Stil For Talent and many more. His new Kindisch Stories album is a rich tapestry of South American melodies, instrumentals and Tegui's own exquisite musicianship. He also presents some of the tracks in his mix for the Kindisch Podcast.

XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the underground's finest selectors.

Continuing the showcase of the talent behind Koelle & Reza Safinia’s ‘Reverie’ Remixes, we're excited to have Niki Sadeki on the decks for episode 102 of XYZ Selectors. Fresh off her ‘Into The Woods’ release on the label, the Iranian-Canadian producer delivers a mix nothing short of mesmerizing. 

Her take on the original track embraces an upfront arpeggio and a pumping ride cymbal. These core elements offer the backdrop to an arrangement rounded by chimes, lush pads, and counter-melodies, culminating in a dreamy, soothing tune.
