Sound Avenue rounds out a strong winter season by showcasing new interpretations of ‘Vanilla Noise’ by Madloch, Subnode and Pedro Capelossi. Originally released in November of 2020 as part of the ‘Turmeric Latte’ EP, it found the trio combining their creative forces for an exquisite organic house journey. With detail, rhythm and musicality all at a premium, it proved to be the perfect selection to close out the two-track showcase. Now with the Spring season upon us, Sound Avenue invites Valdovinos and Rohrer & Stohler to re-imagine the track.

Making his label debut and providing the first interpretation of ‘Vanilla Noise’ is Valdovinos. Since making his production debut just over five year ago, the Argentinean artist has found a home on All Day I Dream, Shanti Radio Moscow, Tale & Tone and TRYBESof. Also an accomplished DJ, Valdovinos has had the honour of opening for top international talents such as Gui Boratto, Giorgia Angiuli, Hermanez and Luciano. Now making his much-anticipated Sound Avenue debut, he provides a dreamy take on ‘Vanilla Noise’. From deep yet robust beginnings, the piece moves fluidly through a storyboard of thumping beats, chunky bass and buoyant rhythms. Whimsical in nature, its fluttery melodic concepts captivate across the first act, before an interlude of distant voices and clustered chimes elevates emotion on wards into a spirited finale.

The release concludes with Rohrer & Stohler making their label debut and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Vanilla Noise’. Although their discography is short, the Swiss duo have already found a home on Dream Culture and Nie Wieder Schlafen since making their debut in 2018. Now presenting their first production of 2021 the Baden residents deliver a rousing rendition of ‘Vanilla Noise’. Exuding warmth, atmosphere and organic design, Rohrer & Stohler’s unique style carries you on an evolving eight-minute journey. Drawing on the sensibilities from the original, the duo marries distinctive design elements and striking percussion with meditative rhythms and placid atmospheres. Vocal edits drift across the pulsating framework leading into the main break, where a tranquil calm resets the groove for a late night finale. An inspired interpretation from the Swiss duo, which rounds out a welcome remix edition for ‘Vanilla Noise’ by Madloch, Subnode and Pedro Capelossi.

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint opens the Spring season by welcoming Mariner + Domingo back to the label for a new single. In what has been a fruitful partnership, the last year saw the US duo rise through the landscape of progressive and organic house. On the strength of 2020 releases via Balkan Connection, RYNTH, The Purr and Stellar Fountain, Mariner + Domingo began the new year with their latest Sound Avenue vehicle ‘Move On’. Highlighting the release was the Lee Burridge supported ‘Another Life’ which quicky rose to the top of the duo’s best seller’s chart. Now following an EP and remix for Proton’s Particles imprint, Mariner + Domingo return to their comfortable home of Sound Avenue with ‘EdenWilde’, alongside a remix from Kamilo Sanclemente. 

Already beloved for their emotive creations, that sentiment will only grow with the highly memorable ‘EdenWilde’. From warm, rhythmic beginnings comes redolent themes and forest sonics. It’s an amalgamation of live, free flowing organics which proves most captivating, touching the listener with moments of hope and reflection, as a bed of dulcet beats and dusty percussion translates that message to the dance floor. Gentle flutters build and atmospheres emerge into the break where the main themes become fully realized, as piano stabs intertwine with glowing tones and cascading arps for the creation’s defining moment

Sound Avenue has also been a comfortable home for Pedro, with the Madloch and Subnode collaborations 'Turmeric Latte' and 'Vanilla Noise' marking his label debut in 2020, a project which spawned four originals and two remixes across the next two calendar years. Now, as 2023 begins to take shape, Pedro makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a four-track showcase entitled 'Salted Caramel'.

With a production career that spans just over half a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape. The Brazilian born, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula. From progressive minded roots, Pedro's sonic palette evolved into one with greater organic depth and broader usability overall, ultimately finding a home on Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, a label where he has notched eight discography credits. Sound Avenue would also become a regular landing spot for Pedro's creations, beginning with the Madloch & Subnode collaborative project ‘Turmeric Latte'. It was this meeting of the minds which ultimately set the course for a creative swell, one which saw Pedro go on to release seven originals and two remixes across the next two calendar years for the Belgian imprint. With the year getting underway with ‘Salted Caramel', a four-track showcase of solo productions, Sound Avenue now invites Luis León, Jelly for the Babies, Eric Louis and Konomo to re-imagine the EP in their own inimitable styles.

With a producer career that spans almost a decade, Pedro Capelossi has quickly emerged from Spain's avant-garde electronic music landscape.

The Brazilian born - Spaniard naturalized, Barcelona based artist has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.

In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives, REFRACTION operates with an inherent understanding of the principles set out by electronic music’s greatest innovators.

Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas has been a primary vehicle for Pedro's far-reaching work, with additional projects via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, Madloch’s Sound Avenue among other specialized labels such as Loot Recordings, TOR (When We Dip) and Hoomidas Records highlighting his resume.

Over the years Pedro's tracks have counted on support from recognizable names such as Nick Warren, Hernan Cattaneo, Eelke Kleijn, Pablo Bolívar, Armen Miran, Matt Darrey and Airwave just to name a few.

DJing for over a decade now, in his hometown Barcelona Pedro played in some of the best parties and clubs such as PACHA, NOM Barcelona, Cafe Del Mar, City Hall, Macarena, Valhalla etc. alongside names such as Sebastien Leger, Eelke Kleijn, Cid Inc, Fur Coat and many more.

On his home turf of São Paulo he was responsible for important nightlife projects such as UNIK ID, hosting artists like Nick Warren and Cid Inc, as well as the PROGRESSION nights held at one of the most important clubs in Brazil - D.EDGE, supporting world-renowned guest artists all year round.

Pedro's DJ performances focus on underground electronic music, especially dub house and dub techno, deep house, minimal and downtempo. His versatility to move between different styles depending on audience and event, allows him to perform club gigs same as festivals.

Founded in 2011 by Belgian DJ and producer Madloch, Sound Avenue is an electronic music label that stands for quality and originality. Borderless in vision, the Belgian imprint has forged a path to multiple musical dimensions. Blurring the boundaries between house and techno, it’s a platform for anyone with an open mind and ears. Having built early momentum on a global scale, the label hosted events across Europe, North Amercia, Argentina and their home country of Belgium. These uniquely branded club nights featured some of the labels core artists (at the time) including Agustin Basulto, Beat Syndrome, Luis Junior, Matias Vila, Nicolas Rada and Sound Process. It set in motion what has been a unique course to musical freedom, pioneering various sonic blueprints over the course of eight years, while maintaining a strong bond  between its loyal and ever expanding fanbase.   

Originally intended to be a stand alone platform, as Sound Avenue experienced unprecedented growth its musical horizons expanded, eventually paving the way for two label subsidiaries in 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds. The former drew influence from Sound Avenue’s early beginnings, showcasing the best in melodic house while the latter dove into the realms of deeper, dubby house and laid back modern techno.   

Now over one hundred releases into their journey, Sound Avenue has continued to flourish through precision, care and well thought out A&R choices. It’s this attention to detail that has allowed the label to work with some of electronic music’s most esteemed artists, such as Budakid, Bachir Salloum & Zone+, Charles Webster, Cosmic Cowboys, Eelke Kleijn, Estroe, Facundo Mohrr, James Teej, Kurt Baggaley, Luis Junior, Martin Roth, Pablo Bolivar, Petar Dundov, PHCK, Powel, Santiago Garcia, Stelios Vassiloudis, Superlounge and Tim Engelhardt. 
 
Sound Avenue carefully curates each release to move their vision forward, building a close-knit family of scene veterans, while nurturing new talents such as Agustin Basulto, Giddyhead, Lucefora and Nicolas Rada. It’s this cohesive blend which has made the label bold, innovative and a standout in their field. With their finger firmly on the pulse of an ever evolving marketplace, it has been Sound Avenue’s foresight which has allowed them to adapt to this shifting landscape, while continuing to build their fanbase globally.
