This release contains two different re-work approaches of the track 'Pub Stories' from the album "New Found Trails" by Book of Tunes, originally composed and recorded by our friend Volker Armbruster in 2020. 

A fusion of traditional Irish Folk Music and playful, modern Electronica, garnished with new dedicated lyrics and vocals, deep dramaturge and loads of intense yet playful sound design and a huge cinematic arrangement, full of unexpected twists. All diced, spiced & fried and then tenderly arranged onto a richly adorned electronic platter served with a pint of Maroesk’s secret music brewing.

The weather was just right, with almost no clouds in the sky and only a gentle breeze whispering across the sandy shore that separated her cozy residence from the endless blue.
She just stood there, eyes closed, steadily breathing, full of pleasant anticipation, as the vague noises from far grew louder, forming an awe-inspiring crescendo of sounds, expected to climax into the meaning of everything.
She put her head back, eyes still shut, arms wide spread to welcome the onrushing salvation.
Just a split-second before the impact, she took a deep breath to then fully immerse herself into the roaring Waves of Pink Noise.

She breathed heavily as she wiped the sweat off her forehead, straightened herself up and slowly took two steps back.
The sun was blazing on this beautiful June afternoon. She had to use her flat hand to shade her squinting eyes and actually see something.

There it was, her magnum opus in its entirety – a real masterpiece. She felt great. Filled with pride, peace and contentness.

In the same moment, the smogabord of feelings, induced by the pure sublimity of her achievement, suddenly flooding her entire body, were so overwhelming, that she uncontrollably bursted into a relieving mixture of crying and laughter.

Once upon a time, in a dark and boisterous age. In a town, shrouded in the darkness of a very dark and stormy night - midnight, to be exact. 
Concealed deep down in the dark corridors below the basement of a intimidating, weather-worn house - which seemed to be devoured by the dark shadows of the eerie, monstrous, thus even more intimidating tree next to it.
There, somewhere locked behind heavy, plated doors to a dar… dimly lit yet cosy laboratory, completely secluded from society, lives and works Maro.
A weird yet loveable entity, dressed in a gray knit jersey and an oversized purple scientists coat and wild, unbound hair.
Desperately fiddling with some grotesque machine, trying to achieve the ultimate low frequency sonic experience!
When, out of nowhere, a lightning struck into the house's two-headed weather-cock…

Frankenbass pt.1

“Skuggaritme” opens the release with a disorienting and unstable rhythmic structure. The percussion feels slightly off-grid and fragmented, making the groove difficult to grasp at first. Texturally, it leans toward dense midrange sounds with organic, almost tactile qualities, resembling wood or metal hits. The track functions as an entry point, stripping away familiar rhythmic expectations and pulling the listener into a more abstract, atmospheric space.

Skuggaritme (RKT007)

KRT°HLD - Skuggaritme (RKT007)

“Rulla” expands the ritualistic framework with a more fluid and rolling rhythmic identity. Compared to the other tracks, the groove feels smoother and slightly more continuous, almost wave-like in its motion. The percussion is still central, but less fragmented than in “Skuggaritme” and less rigid than in “Buskverk,” creating a sense of forward momentum without urgency. Subtle shifts in texture and spacing give the track a breathing quality, as elements seem to appear and dissolve within the loop. The overall sound remains raw and tactile, yet slightly more hypnotically “warm,” making it feel like a transitional state between movement and immersion.

KRT°HLD - Rulla (RKT007)

“Buskverk” introduces a more stable and repetitive groove, marking the transition into a hypnotic flow. The rhythm becomes more grounded and cyclical, allowing the body to lock into the pattern. However, the track still avoids obvious progression; instead, it relies on subtle changes such as filter modulation and the gradual layering or removal of elements. These micro-variations create a sense of movement without breaking the loop, deepening the trance effect.

KRT°HLD - Buskverk (RKT007)

“Dungadunga” serves as the core of the release and fully embodies its concept. The groove is rolling and continuous, with kick and percussion blending into a single, flowing rhythm. The structure is highly reduced, using only a few elements that are constantly modulated to maintain motion. The sound is gritty, textured, and slightly distorted, reinforcing the raw aesthetic. Over time, the repetition dissolves any clear sense of beginning or end, turning the track into an ongoing rhythmic state rather than a linear composition.
