ABOUT OUR GUEST

*Richard Trout*

'Richard first began DJing in the mid-'90s at the age of 16. Playing everything from breakbeat, techno, Italian house, jungle, and house. 

Along with a friend, he started a successful night in a local pub but grew out of the dance scene over time and learned to play the guitar.
Being in several bands and playing hundreds of gigs over the years gave Richard a good knowledge of reading crowds.

Around 3 years ago Richard rediscovered his love for house music and set about learning to play on digital equipment.

Richard set up Transmission Lost, a listening platform for DJs to submit mixes to, and built up a group of residents and guests.

Building on this Richard set up his own night called All Things House.
Richard has played many clubs and festivals and holds residencies on Saturo Sounds and Subcode radio.'

Horizons January 2023

We are pleased to announce the latest release on Future Avenue, which features the return of Audiofive from South Africa with his second EP on the label, "Bucolic." Audiofive made his debut on the label last year with his "Love Theme EP," which received a great response from DJs and gained a significant number of streams on Spotify. In addition to his debut EP, Audiofive also made a remix for Tojogo's "Actuality," further demonstrating his versatility as a producer. We are excited to have him back on the label with four brand new original tracks on the "Bucolic" EP. We are confident that Audiofive will continue to showcase his talent on Future Avenue and are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this promising artist.

Do you think your music could be released on SoundBook Records? Would you like to be part of the SoundBook family? We love you to think so. If you want we listen to your stuff just read the following rules:

1. Send at least 2 or more tracks, these ones you think can fit properly in the label. As you know, SoundBook Records don’t release poor quality, so please try to be as close as possible to what we usually release.

2. Upload tracks to your Soundcloud account, put them in private mode and downloadable and send the link to soundbookrecdemos@gmail.com 

3. If you follow the rules, we’ll listen to your music. Be patient, we receive many demos throughout the day. Sometimes it takes a while, but we listen to everything that we received properly.

4. We can’t answer all the emails we receive with demos. If we like your stuff we’ll contact you. If you don’t have news about us, don’t worry, maybe this time your tracks don't fit on the label, maybe the next time…
