Sound Cannon is exactly what their name implies. They blow you away with their progressive rock music that has no boundaries. These guys are brilliant musicians and their virtuosity reflects their passion for excellence. Originally formed in Orlando Florida back in 2007, Sound Cannon is now based in Los Angeles. Their first EP “Let the Light In” was recorded by James Paul Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Paramore) and was released in 2008.

Sound Cannon is led by their amazing guitarist Jared Hara who began studying music after he went blind at twelve years of age. A documentary about Jared’s tragedy and indomitable spirit entitled “Blindsided” aired for two years on HBO. Currently, a Hollywood feature film is in development that will bring Jared’s incredible story to the silver screen. Jared is also a spokesperson for RADD-the entertainment industry’s liaison to road safety joining fellow RADD spokespeople Paul McCartney, Aerosmith, and Justin Timberlake.

In 2010, circumstances arose that gave Hara, then nineteen, the opportunity to rebuild Sound Cannon with new members. So he moved to LA in search of musicians who could bring a more intense, innovative and mature sound to the band. A year later, Sound Cannon was complete once again. However, now the incomparable talents of Mike Campbell (vocalist), Max D’Anda (drums) and Nate Anderson (bass) were being utilized. A bond between these four musicians was immediately solidified. They quickly wrote and recorded a masterful and mesmerizing five song EP “The Zelodius” that would define their imagination and artistic direction.

Ironically, twenty one year olds Mike Campbell and Nate Anderson were members in the same rock band while attending high school in Gig Harbor, Washington. After graduating, they set out in different directions only to remarkably find themselves three years later in Los Angeles and members of Sound Cannon. Twenty year old Max D’Anda grew up in Los Angeles. He was surrounded by and studied music from some of the most talented and recognizable musicians living in America.

The song “Amazed” on The Zelodious EP was inspired by the incredible fate these boys felt in finding one another. They will tell you that everyone experiences relationships and situations that were never planned for, never imagined; that we can only prepare ourselves for what ultimately is, “meant to be”.

Beginning in 2012, Sound Cannon will begin touring the U.S. before heading to Europe and Asia.
