From the prolific cultural epicenter of Montréal, Marie has emerged as one of the foremost electronic artists in contemporary underground pop today. As a long-time member of Les Momies de Palerme, Hotel Monochrome, DKMD, and Essaie Pas, Marie has continued to hone her many talents in Montréal’s fervent experimental communities for much of her adult life. Davidson’s intimate solo work is embodied through a host of synthesizers and drum machines that coalesce in synchronized harmony, punctuated by Marie’s hypnotic vocal delivery, sung and spoken in both French and English. Her third album Un Autre Voyage demonstrates her heightened compositional skill behind a sequencer as well as her singular ability to anesthetize the senses through the documentation of her own serial pattern of experiential growth.

Cititrax is thrilled to present a full length LP entitled Adieux Au Dancefloor by Montreal based recording artist, Marie Davidson. Marie Davidson has emerged as one of the foremost electronic artists working in contemporary pop today. As a long-time member of Essaie Pas (DFA Records), Davidson has had the opportunity to hone her many talents. She has been participating in the city’s vibrant experimental community for much of her adult life. However, in 2012 she began to unveil compositions under her own name, revealing a solo artist who possessed the combined confidence and vulnerability required to write, produce and perform unaccompanied. Davidson’s intimate solo work is embodied through a host of synthesizers, sequencers and drum machines which coalesce in synchronized harmony, punctuated by vocals, half sung, half spoken in both French and English. She masterfully shapes the overall mood, themes, emotion, expression and intensity of her work, which gives the final result a distinctive, cinematic quality. 
With Adieux Au Dancefloor, Marie makes a slight departure from her last two releases, via Holodeck (2015) and Weyrd Son (2014), by creating her first fully dancefloor oriented piece of work. Through the 45 minutes of music that comprises the album, she experiments with pop structures, defines her voice, and layers rhythms to make complex and beautiful techno tracks. She closes the album with the title track in classic Chanson style.
Adieux Au Dancefloor will be released on October 6th. The record will be pressed on 160 gram white vinyl and will feature photographs by the equally talented Corinne Schiavone. The record will be housed in a full color printed heavyweight jacket along with matching printed inner sleeve. Pre-order available now. Digital release to follow.

Ovaj melankolični kolaž nastajao je spontano kroz 6 godina potrage za izgubljenim yugo draguljima. Od antikvarijata, do buvljaka, od ebaya do discogsa, od sajmova i oglasnika do kolekcionara, te ploče sam morao naći dok su neke nalazile mene. Nosio ih je poštar, nalazilo ih se i izvan omota među stotinama bezomotnih, dolazile iz svih krajeva ex-yu, pa i inozemstva, ali zajedničko im je jedno bile one male, velike ili srednje: utori urezani u njih, duboki su i bezvremenski, sjetni i sretni u isto vrijeme. Iskrene, neiskvarene i jednostavne riječi pjesama umotane su u debeli pokrivač vrhunski odsviranog jazza, funka, soula, beata, texmexa i latina. Mix je nastajao i nestajao nekoliko puta u živo na MKII-ojkama tokom zime 2012./2013., da bi se jedne večeri inkarnirao (bez postprocesiranja) u ovom finalnom izdanju. Time rečeno možete biti sigurni da sam mazio i hendlao te pločice više puta prije nego li će ova infuzija čistog zadovoljstva kliznuti u vaše uši. Stisni sviraj i pokloni svojoj baki.

Biografija:  
Grupa je osnovana 2013. I čine ju dva člana vodnjanske grupe Dem Crew (Marino Morosin aka Rinomabeatz i Eric Ušić).
Nakon uspješnog prvijenca Dem-O, tri godine kasnije izbacuju novi demo uradak pod jednostavnim ali zanimljivim nazivom Macchiato i čaša vode. Ova kompilacija sadržavati će 19 pjesama od kojih su neke i na talijanskom jeziku. Cijeli je album popraćen chill instrumentalima i live izvedbama mladih glazbenika Ivana Jovića i Kristijana Ljubišića. Uz njih na albumu gostuju neafirmirani mladi izvođači Marko Bogović, Ivan Cossara, Sista Julie i Toni Flego. Album je karakterističan po eksperimentalnoj glazbi i društveno osvještenim tekstovima.
