Irish singer, songwriter and musician Orla Gartland just dropped the extended edition of her second album, ‘Everybody Needs a Hero.’ To celebrate, Gartland gives this exclusive commentary about the making of some of the album’s original and bonus tracks, which blend indie rock and alt pop with Gartland’s sweet voice. “Now What” reflects on the ways our feelings about relationships change over time, while “Pest” takes a “goofy” approach to dealing with a certain kind of man. The Dubliner, based in London, calls “Little Chaos” her favorite cut on the album. It’s about being “your fullest, ugliest, most charming, most annoying, most real self,” she says.
